It's a beautiful place. But we were very disappointed with this year's brunch. Went with same family members as last year and enjoyed it. This time, the 2 women greeting people were extremely disorganized. Although we had a reservation, we had to wait for 35 mins. to be seated. There were tables waiting to be cleared and I was told... Sorry to read about your experience at the Bistro on Mother's Day. With the volume of guests it was not possible to restrict the assumed time for a sitting and the girls at the reception desk were trying to accommodate the arrivals. We had made enough provisions for early arrivals and late departures but borrowing little extra time from guest... More

We went here for happy hour to find one of the best priced menus we've ever seen. $2 draft beers (any kind) $4 glasses of wine (huge glasses), etc. The food menu is also very reasonably priced with $6 sliders (including cheese, side of fries, you name it), $7 flat bread pizzas (not our favorite), plus many more options at... All I can say is wow. I finally had the Prime Rib (which is one of the weekly specials--Monday night to be exact) at the Bantam Bistro. This steak was so tender that my teeth were upset that they didn't have to masticate much at all LOL--Man,this is almost comparable to a titillating moment. And the vegetables--I never thought I... This was an incredibly disappointing Valentine's Day, my friends. The Litchfield Inn advertised a prix fixe Valentine's Day special that we thought that would result in a romantic atmosphere, a New England inn feeling, and lingering over a nice selection of wines. We dressed up and headed out. Instead of an elegant restaurant, we entered into a "bistro" that could... More

Yes, the food, the service, and the atmosphere was something to be proud of. James, who built this inn would be proud to have been a part of this all. We enjoyed our meals and the presentation was indeed superb. Thank you for continuing his legacy. I loved seeing his boots and saddles on display by the fire. He always... More
