Monday Night Dinner for 2

We had a lovely time @ The Corner on a Monday night. We made reservations last minute and found there to be plenty of room. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I had the scallops and steak. It was cooked very well and had a very plentiful amount of food on the plate. James had the steak and... read more

I live in these parts and have patronized @The Corner since it arrived. Unfortunately, it means that I have also witnessed a decline in food quality and value. They were locally competitive in both areas. Now? I am not sure. After yesterday's disappointment (How can you screw up chicken wings? Serve re-heated pre-cooked wings with a dollop of institutional sauce... More

We went there on a Saturday in August and sat in the uncrowded bar around 1 pm. I had the BLT (with guac on multi-grain toast) and my husband had the cranberry chicken salad sandwich. Both were fantastic. The server suggested the roasted Brussels sprouts as a side, which we tried and they were fantastic. I had to take half... More

Stopped in for lunch while showing some friends around that are relocating from Arizona. Food was creative and enjoyed. Service was friendly.

Open, atmosphere in a historic corner building with early 1900s period architecture at the top of the green in Litchfield. Great menu and excellent food. "Petite" crab cakes were delicious and more than petite, could have been an entre rather than a starter. Lobster roll slider was as good as you would get at a small fish shack along the... More

It was a treat. It was a nice spot and good for both grownups and young adults. Food that was good for all of us. I loved the chowder, my husband didn't. It some kind of other ingredient in it that I loved. (should have asked). I will go back there.

We tried three items and the dry rub wings. All were very good. The beer selection was extremely good, many local CT brews. They offer a lot of great choices and great information on the menu to help you choose including the Beer Advocate rating. I tried the N.E.B.C.O Fuzzy Baby Ducks ; Double IPA and it was wonderful. The... More

We went here for lunch. The place is nicely done and on a corner with a lot of outside activity to observe while you eat so a table by the window during the day is a plus. The staff in very friendly and helpful and there are many interesting items on the menu. I had spicy jerk chicken which was... More

We've been to the bar for drinks and for food - great service. Good selection of wine/beer. The menu seems to change on a regular basis. Everything we've tried has been good.

I had a lovely evening here with a friend who had been several times before. We shared the cheese and charcuterie platter, which was fabulous, offering a good variety that also included bread, olives and spiced nuts. My entree was a delicious eggplant rollatini that came from the night's pub menu, which also featured several beer and food pairings that... More
