Overall good

Nice place nice environment but a little pricey. Food was good though. The wild mushroom ravioli was delicious. A place to go for Caribbean food.

An artsy little restaurant/lounge if you like raggae and hip-hop. Food is a fusion mix of Caribbean spices from the islands mainly Jamaican. A little pricey but not bad. The only downside is its on the smaller side

Is a nice spot for having a drink, the food is good but not out of this world, for me. The disclaimer is that I have friends from different social and ethnic groups that really like the place, so I can give them a 3.5/5, but someone else can give at a 4.5/5

This little gem belongs in the west village in NYC. Great Island cuisine, intimate atmosphere and great entertainment. Host Hugh Russell makes you feel right at home. Will definitely return

Went here to eat with a friend after visiting a street festival. The music was top 40 and the atmosphere was really laid back. Our server was very attentive to our needs and even entertained us with some small talk. I had the rum punch and salmon cakes and lets just say I will be going back to order the... More

We stopped here because it is literally across the street from the XL center. We walked in and sat at the bar. There were dirty dishes there so we knew at least the seats were available. The dishes stayed there for no lie 10 minutes. When the bartender finally acknowledged us he thought they were ours and we had to... More

I go to the Russell a few times a year and always, without fail, enjoy my meal tremendously. The chicken ceasar salad is top-shelf, as is their lobster bisque. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. If you are in there for a business lunch and only have 45 minutes, it seems a little slow. I think if you aren't... More

This is a nice place for lunch with clients. Its great if you are looking for something on the go. It's not somewhere to take a date. The food is great! The salad, soups, and paninis are basically the same quality of panera with a higher cost.

Restaurant was out of 4 of the items we had ordered and offered no apology, the we had to ask several times to get a menu to pick something else. When we finally ordered, we waited for an hour for our food and it never arrived. The place was EMPTY! We finally just got up and left; the owner/manager did... More

Went to The Russell last night before the show at the Bushnell. The place was not busy at all so we had our pick of the tables. The waitresses were lovely and welcoming but were getting used to the new menu and unfortunately some of the menu items were not yet available. The location and ambiance are great but the... More
