Not as good as once was, but still worth going to

At one point this was the absolute best place in the area. At this point it is really the only place in the area. With that said it's still worth visiting just because there are no other options. The pastries are very good but sometimes may not be as fresh as other days. The staff can be a bit... read more

Every single item we've ordered and sampled has been excellent. Often busy, so call ahead to order. A family-owned,delightful and old-time Italian experience. Hooray for Mozzicato!

Absolutely horrible! We pre-ordered a strawberry and peach whipped cream cake and it was extremely dry, and they forgot the peaches. It tasted like it sat around for a week. This was a second chance visit, and once again they failed. Never again would I go there.

I have been a customer of Mozzicato’s pastry shop for over 20 years. However that has come to an end. Sadly this business is no longer representative of the quality products the man whom started this business was known for. The key to a good Italian pastry shop that creates amazing pastry: a) one who sells all its product before... More

wow- been here many times, and the items are each delicious and satisfying. This past weekend, I had some easter influenced boiled egg in a challah-type bread concoction that was creative if anything. Also, the bread baked here is used at another of my reviewed places, Toasted, in Downtown Hartford, for their sandwiches. Lovely.

The list of baked goods is expansive. We tried the carrot cake, chocolate mouse cake, chocolate rum balls and all were very tasty. Can't wait to go back and try a new selection. The service was excellent. The young lady behind the counter was cheerful and very knowledgeable about the many selections . They also have a caffe next door... More

My mother ordered fifteen pounds of cookies which when they arrived were crushed and they were for an anniversary party; I spoke with Paolo and Gina Mozzicato early this morning and I would like to share this nightmarish and traumatizing experience in the hopes this does not happen to any other customers: I had called two months ago and spoke... We never drive by without stopping at Mozzicato's the dessert's are amazing. You don't have to travel to NYC' little Italy to have great Italian pastry. Everything here is home made and delicious. They make the best birthday cakes as well. This is your old fashioned bakery at its best!!!

I ordered a fruit cake for my birthday and it was splendid. The cake was plain, so I asked to decorate it and the girls have put a smiley on it. Even though I was buying a cake I had some change left, which allowed me to buy a few dougnuts.
