This was a very unexpected pleasant surprise. The hotel we stayed at was very shabby and this was right up the street from the hotel. Restaurant looked like a throwback to the seafood restaurants on the 90s with all of the nautical decorations on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Food was excellent and I would go there again... More

No one leaves the Chowder Pot hungry that is for sure. Between the bread and the salad and the main course, which is is no doubt going to be delicious you will roll out of here. It feels like you are at the sea shore! The food is fresh and delicious. The only negative is sometimes there is a long... More

My wife and I stop here whenever we get a chance for their Calamari. It is awesome! The service is good. Often crowded, but worth the wait.

Was at this restaurant many years ago. Have been trying to find it since (forgot the name). A little hard to find but well worth the effort. Delicious from beginning to end. Had a few large shrimp and lobster claws for an appy. Not expensive at all. We had the grilled salmon salad and the smaller version of the baked... More

This may not be the prettiest park of Hartford...and it may throw you by having to drive around to the backside of a building to find the place...but it's definitely worth seeking out. This was our first stop to our long weekend around CT and MA and we were happy we started off with this meal. We were there at... More

This is my mother-in-law's favorite seafood place every Mother's Day this is where we take her. The food portions are generous I personally love the prime rib which is absolutely delicious and will melt in your mouth. It can be a little pricey but the food is worth it. The waitstaff is awesome absolutely great experience every time we've gone.

We have met here for lunch on several occasions with my brother and sister and their spouses and always had a good experience. My sister and husband who lived in the area before moving to Florida have called this one of their favorite restaurants. We cannot disagree. We sit at the round table for six near the entrance and the... More

I have not had a bad meal here. Portions are good, everything cooked well. Restaurant is always crowded and so if you want to come, come early or after dinner rush.

Four of us went to the USS Chowderpot IV for dinner and I was not particularly impressed. The server was excellent but I really expected my lobster to be superb and it was not. The legs were very good but the claws and tail were overcooked and rubbery. Very disappointed.

Large portions. Well prepared, fresh food. Awesome waitress, fast service. Very reasonable pricing. Only issue was the non-descript building in the somewhat overgrown parking lot. Large sign indicates the area of the restaurant, but building itself has no signage at all. Not being from the area, we weren't sure we were in the right place as another building is located... More
