We had a marvelous meal with very attentive service.Everyone in our party ordered some sort of seafood dish, and all were fresh and properly prepared. Although the place was crowded, the service was befitting of a much more expensive restaurant. This is one of the best values in town. Highly recommended.

After a couple months passed since a class reunion, a smaller group of former classmates decided to get together at Chowder Pot. The location .is conveniently located off I 91 in the south end of Hartford. We secured a great spot at the bar and a nearby corner table. This arrangement allowed our group to circulate among each other. The... More

I don't know what these reviewers r talking about when we went in October food was excellent had prime rib melted in my mouth like butter and huge portions, and her new York silorn was cooked perfect. I had a clam chowder which was not as flavorful as other local seafood places. For my main course I had lobster that was simply boiled and placed on a plate. It was good. I could have had the same thing at home for a third of the price. I will not be going back.

Nothing about this place is appealing. Not the location, an industrial area. Not the décor, dated and smelling of greasy banquet hall carpet. Not the food, think red lobster meets friendlys. The over 65 crowd is happy here tho, lots of soft foods. I shall pass, thank you.

Will never go back!!! The Hostess at the front was horrible. She was unorganized, unfriendly, rude and downright nasty. She had our table of five walk around the restauarant with her to be seated only to decide she wasn't sure where to "put" us and and had us go back to the front. Then she proceeded to seat other people... More

We had a large family group and this restaurant offered good seating and a varied menu. The prime rib was delicious and the lobster for grandma is why we went. My medium rare steak was medium well and tough. The brought out the coleslaw side that seven to half of us with the other diner's salads and not the others.... More

This was a very unexpected pleasant surprise. The hotel we stayed at was very shabby and this was right up the street from the hotel. Restaurant looked like a throwback to the seafood restaurants on the 90s with all of the nautical decorations on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Food was excellent and I would go there again... More
