Happy hour!

I always have a great time during happy hour but can't really talk about the food. The drinks are phenomenal & dj plays old school music (love it). They're always nice guys willing to buy a lady a drink. It always a great time!

I found myself at the chowder Pot last night once again ordering the prime rib dinner. I had been to this location once before and left saying this was the best prime rib I've ever had. I'm glad to say last night was a repeat performance. The place packs up pretty good so we called ahead for seating. The hosts... More

I've always been a fan of the Chowder Pot (both in Hartford and Branford), but my most recent visit will probably be my last. Our service was fine but the food was mediocre at best. The warm bread served before our food was undercooked and overly yeast. The Rhode Island chowder was full of potatoes and clams yet had no... More

Came to have Saturday afternoon Supper, had a 45min wait for table seating upon arriving. Had the Large Boiled Lobster selection which ranged from 2-2.5lbs. Waited after ordering about 15min, waiter seemed rushed and only checked my status of the meal once. Lobster was chewy and has a tough texture, atmosphere is rough and noise level is quite load due... More

I can see why this place is so busy. If they tell you it's an hour wait, I suggest you wait because it is definitely worth it. The food and service were both excellent. The atmosphere and price were very much acceptable. Our waiter Russell had forgot one of our sides which was understandable because every table was occupied. I... More

As the title states.... The prime rib is just so darn perfect. I'll humble my self and disclose that I have a 'teeth' problem, but not when I'm having a religious experience with the Prime Rib....it melts....in my mouth. Ok.....melting is a term I am using relative to the texture of the Meat.... Ok..you get it. If your going thru... More

The Chowder Pot is located right off the highway. Easy to find with generally ok parking. The happy hour is great and the seafood selections awesome!

I had only been to Chowder Pot 3 times in the past and it was always very good. Lately, some of the reviews were more critical so I wasn't so sure it would still be as good. But, last week, a friend wanted to go there, so we did. I was happy to find that it is every bit as... More

We saw the Chowder Pot on our way to the Launch Trampoline Park on a Saturday. We decided to visit for a late lunch, early dinner after we left the park. Food and drinks were good. Hands down the best RI chowder my husband an I have ever had. Loved the atmosphere and the ambiance. Service was good until the... More

It's in a convenient location for our drive between CT and NH so we often stop for a quick dinner. Service is good, food fairly reasonable and decent choices.
