Satisfying Seafood

Best inland seafood. Lobster dishes, shrimp dishes, fried clams are all great. Clam chowder and so much more. I've never had a bad meal here. Great prime rib too.

I haven't been to this Chowder Pot (IV) location in a while, but I was pleased when some friends suggested it for a Saturday night dinner in May. This restaurant had a steady stream of patrons from 5pm to closing (11pm), and it says a lot that we were there for that duration, enjoying the company of friends and our... More

Large establishment with a diversified menu and good eats. Service is always good. A great place for large parties of people.

The three of us ordered two seafood platters that were great, and we were able to split them, and still have food left over. The bread was very good, better than average for sure. All the seafood that I had was very good, way above average. The waiters were friendly, but the service was slow, even though there were not... More

I found myself at the chowder Pot last night once again ordering the prime rib dinner. I had been to this location once before and left saying this was the best prime rib I've ever had. I'm glad to say last night was a repeat performance. The place packs up pretty good so we called ahead for seating. The hosts... More

I've always been a fan of the Chowder Pot (both in Hartford and Branford), but my most recent visit will probably be my last. Our service was fine but the food was mediocre at best. The warm bread served before our food was undercooked and overly yeast. The Rhode Island chowder was full of potatoes and clams yet had no... More

I always have a great time during happy hour but can't really talk about the food. The drinks are phenomenal & dj plays old school music (love it). They're always nice guys willing to buy a lady a drink. It always a great time!

Came to have Saturday afternoon Supper, had a 45min wait for table seating upon arriving. Had the Large Boiled Lobster selection which ranged from 2-2.5lbs. Waited after ordering about 15min, waiter seemed rushed and only checked my status of the meal once. Lobster was chewy and has a tough texture, atmosphere is rough and noise level is quite load due... More

I can see why this place is so busy. If they tell you it's an hour wait, I suggest you wait because it is definitely worth it. The food and service were both excellent. The atmosphere and price were very much acceptable. Our waiter Russell had forgot one of our sides which was understandable because every table was occupied. I... More

As the title states.... The prime rib is just so darn perfect. I'll humble my self and disclose that I have a 'teeth' problem, but not when I'm having a religious experience with the Prime Rib....it melts....in my mouth. Ok.....melting is a term I am using relative to the texture of the Meat.... Ok..you get it. If your going thru... More
