Taste of Hartford

Great Taste of Hartford menu. For $20.16 there was soup, salad. entree, desert. I thought the portions would be small, but they were full size and delicious. The rhode Island claim chowder was great, the haddock stuffed with lobster was amazing, I also brought some home. Cheesecake for dessert... read more

Very robust crowd most of the time, especially around happy hour. Very lively bar with regulars and travelers. You can also eat at the bar. Atmosphere is casual, a bit too dark and not shiny. The bread needs help as does the house salad. Best part of the meal is the shellfish. Clams casino, steamers and lobster makes the place.... More

So sorry to report this but just had to. We have been going to Chowder Pot for years since early 2000 where it used to be one of our favorite places to eat! We went last night for New Years Eve dinner and our previous last visit was about a year ago. Our experiences when coming it would be packed... More

I've been to chowder pot iv with friends and for meetings. The food is consistently good. The lobster bisque is wonderful. My husband loves the baked stuffed shrimp because the shrimp are butterflied. I've had many menu items, including crab cakes, salads with seafood, scrod, stuffed cod, all of which are really good. But oddly enough, one of the best... More

Very mediocre place. The only real positive was the service. Our waitress was very attentive and very efficient. The food, well it was okay at best. I do not recommend this place and I don’t plan to go back.

There is always all kinds of fish on the menu. I think that you can actually pick out your own lobster too! Huge place-always crowded (at least when I have gone). And there is a "fish frowners" menu too that has quite a good selection.

If you like great seafood, Chowder Pot is the place to go! I've dined at this restaurant for many years and have never been disappointed with their service, menu selection or their meals. It's a favorite place for family gathering, sports bar, private events, work or community celebrations. Like most restaurants Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays tend to be their busiest.... More

Nothing special but a decent place for dinner with free parking, which is unusual in Hartford. We found it difficult to find from the street. The exit is obvious because of the big billboard but once you are in the parking lot it is confusing. Go all the way to the back of the building, highway side. No signs to... More

Place feels old, and not is a good sense, old resuarnts can be quaint or charmming this was neither just worn. The sevice was adequate, location leaves a lot to be desired. Fish was either over cooked or swimming is sauce. The prime rib tasted of meat tenderizer. we were not happy and will not go back
