This is part of the Max chain of restaurants. It was conveniently located to the hotel where my clients were staying. The crowd tends to be young to middle age who can afford to be picky about their food. And the food is good. There is always something on the menu with a little extra twist that makes me want... We visited Trumbulls Kitchen because it was a short walk from our Hotel and had been recommended. It was very busy but very jolly atmosphere. My wife and I both chose beef ribs and asked for medium to well done but when it was served it was almost rare, but on pointing this out it was removed and soon returned... More

We stopped here for lunch last Saturday and it was very pleasant. There are very few places for lunch at the w/e in Hartford. It's very deserted. There is always people dining at Trumbull kitchen and we decided to go there. The service was excellent and the food was acceptable. My husband ordered a mussel bisque to start off with... More

Another hot spot to watch the 'specials' board for sure! The menu has combined all kinds of delicious foods from around the world to create a wonderful selection of continental cuisine. We found ourselves having to order several items, just so we would be able to experience more of what was coming out of the kitchen. The bar staff is... More

Had lunch here during my stay in Hartford this past June. It was pricy and the service wasn't great. They weren't busy at all and we still waited a long while for the food. Maybe I didn't order the right thing, but my salad was just ok. I've made better at home. I ordered the chopped cob. It was big,... More

I heard so much about Trumbull and Max....and I have to say...Hartford needs to step it up. It makes me a little sad that T/Max is rated the best of the best in CT......it's fair at best....the space is loud...Servers reminded me of TGIF servers..Music was over the top loud......

Went to TK to show off wife's new heels. Oddly slow Saturday night. A lot of creative choices from drinks to dessert. Strawberry margarita and sangria great flavor. Russian mule great presentation but flavors did not blend, they unfortunately layered. Lettuce cups fantastic flavor depth, and oh so messy! Wonderful selection of entrees served piping hot with healthy portions. Very... More

We went to dinner here on a Friday evening before heading to the Bushnell for a performance. We were able to make reservations on line very easily. We arrived a little early and were seated right away. The restaurant was very busy. Our waitress was very nice and took drink orders. We ordered the appetizer special which was a sushi... More

My wife and I decided to eat at TK one evening before attending a play at one of the smaller theaters in the city. It had been a couple of years since we ate there and then it was for lunch. TK is owned by the Max Restaurant Group and I think they can do nothing wrong. We have eaten... More

Yes!!! So happy we chose TK for dinner during our visit to Hartford. Michael was an outstanding host, walking us through the fantastic options with the perfect combination of enthusiasm, profound knowledge, and friendliness. Highly recommend duck 3-ways, local sea scallops, & compost cookie sandwich. Classy atmosphere and great bar selection topped off a memorable dining experience.
