I am lucky enough to work walking distance to Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford so I do not have to deal with the parking issues. The food is fresh and unique and the atmosphere is fun. The grilled filet mignon tater tots appetizer is a must every time we go there. One thing I recommend if you really want to get... More

TK never disappoints and is another shining example of why the Max restaurant group is so successful. You can order an entree here and get nearly the same great flavors, presentation and quality as you will across the street at Max Downtown but there are so many cool appetizers and small plates that I rarely make it to the main... Recently met family in Hartford and had dinner at Trumbull Kitchen. We had a great waitress and we all enjoyed our drinks and dinner. Food was fresh, local, and nicely served. I had a meatloaf, something I wouldn't normally order, and it was the best I've ever had! Would definitely go back there if I'm ever in Hartford again.

Dined here this past Saturday for lunch. Service was friendly and prompt. Ordered a special drink they had called a "New Fashioned" and it was fantastic. While waiting for my lunch, the server brought me a bread basket with delicious fresh breads and a soft cheese type spread that was delicious. The angus cheeseburger and fresh cut fries I had... It is a good place to hang out and have a drink with colleagues and customers. The location is great which is right in the Hartford Downtown. The place gets crowded so better to go with a reservation. On a pleasant day, you can sit outside as well.

The wonderful meal started with a bloody oyster shot that was outstanding. The sweet potato and shrimp fritters were some of my favorite appetizers. The pork shank was tender and tasty and served with a delicious au gratin.

I went after work with a couple colleagues and would definitely come back again. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks. Staff also checked up on us at appropriate times for drinks and food. As a beer guy, their craft selection was great. The food was very delicious as well. Very great experience overall.

I was in Connecticut on business and passed through downtown Hartford right around noon time. I happened upon Trumbull Kitchen. The outside patio was hopping which I took as a good sign, so I opted to visit and grab a quick bite for lunch. I sat at the bar and the service was quick and efficient, but I wouldn't say... More
