We had family in from San Antonio Texas. The Family heard about the great pizza restaurants on the East Coast. They had already eaten at Grimaldi’s in New York and wanted to try another restaurant in Hartford. Their son (14) reminded them New York was not New England. Therefore, we treated them to... read more

We have eaten pizza at just about all of the restaurants in our area, including the three other first and last restaurants. The pizza served in Hartford, the original, cannot be beat. It is superior to the New Haven pizza places by far. If you go from Friday through Sunday you are treated to the most flavorful bread basket you... More

Needing a place to have guests aged 4 to 101 satisfied we went here for lunch on a Saturday. We were greeted pleasantly and seated at a table for 6 close to the door which was convenient for my mom. While they have an extensive Italian menu, pizza was our order of the day. We ordered our drinks and the... More

seriously can't beat a first and last Pie.. I have lived up in this area for 2 1/2 years and the pizza is always good. I can not comment on the pastas and entrees since I mainly go to Happy Hour. From 4-6 you can get 1/2 price pizzas and $6 apps it's a great deal! And of course drinks... More

After visiting First and Last several times a year for over 20 years, I was disappointed this time. I always enjoyed walking through the door and being met by the aroma of garlic and fresh bread. That experience led me to believe I was where I should be for an outstanding italian meal. But after waiting 40 minutes for our... More

This is the best of the best, the portions are really nice and the prices are very good. We always have the raw seafood appetizer...so fresh and the brine in the oysters with a bit of hot sauce rocks. I LOVE the Veal Parm...it is so tender, it melts in your mouth. Our daughter loves the ravioli and my husband... More
