This is the best of the best, the portions are really nice and the prices are very good. We always have the raw seafood appetizer...so fresh and the brine in the oysters with a bit of hot sauce rocks. I LOVE the Veal Parm...it is so tender, it melts in your mouth. Our daughter loves the ravioli and my husband... More

I have lived in the Hartford area since 1986 and the First & Last Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. This is much more than a pizza place. The mussels marinara are about the best I have had anywhere. And lets not forget the arugula salad, the baby artichokes, and of course the bread basket is... More

1st visit to an area tradition in Hartford's lil Italy. Dinner with wife and another couple. Very friendly neighborhood eatery with good selection and prices. Typical Italian fare and pizza but very tasty with good prices too. Plenty of parking in back or across the street. Will definetly return and recommend to others. Everyone was pleased with their dinners and... More

Although there are a couple of locations here in CT, I would estimate that you can't go wrong with pizza. I did enjoy the thin crust, and the variety of items. I also did attend a pre-wedding party and thought the service was very nice, the food adequate, etc... but ... Other than that, pizza is pizza!

We are frequent patrons of First and Last.. We especially enjoy going for happy hour as drinks (beer&wine) appetizers and pizzas are half price.. It's a great way to try different pizzas and apps at a very affordable price. I have never ordered anything other than pizza and salad but I see plenary of food coming out of their kitchen

The First and Last Tavern is a popular place to meet friends and coworkers for a casual dinner in Hartford. Good food and service.

Awful food. Don't get fooled by their history of good quality food. It's been lost with uncaring owner that allows kitchen to put out bad food. No standards and disrespectful to the original family that had made the name. I would not go back ever. First time I went and the last time I'll ever go back to that nasty... More

My husband and I went for lunch, the restaurant was quite and not crowded. Our waitress was fantastic. I had the eggplant parmigiana which was lightly breaded, and so delicious. My husband had the buffalo chicken pizza, which was new on the menu. He said it was the best he ever had. We will be back there real soon, this... More
