My wife and I tried this restaurant for the first time last weekend. We had come back from Spain a few months ago and were excited to find a nearby Spanish restaurant. We weren't disappointed. We got the paella for two and it was very good. We shared a flan for dessert, which was also very good. No appetizers for... More

Costa del Sol is a Spanish style restaurant in Hartford's South End. Went on a Saturday night of the Belmont Stakes. Had a drink in the bar with about 50 other race fans trying to root home a Triple Crown. After the race the bar cleared out and everyone went back to their seats for dinner The menu has many... More

We dined at Costa del Sol on a Friday evening recently, and found it every bit as good as ever, and perhaps even better. Although tapas are featured Tuesdays through Thursdays, we found enough inviting ones to put together an entire Friday dinner from the choices. The soup of the day (fish chowder) deserves special mention. It was our opening... More

I am still thinking about the calamari cooked with all the garlic slices. It's been a few weeks and I keep wanting to go back just for that dish. Everything else we had was good as well, octopus, fish, linguini with seafood. I love the giant mural of Spain on the walls too, such a cute spot!

Great Spanish Mediterranean food located in a quiet neighborhood. Service is attentive without being intrusive, very personable staff. Grilled seafood with saffron rice is outstanding. Appetizers are diverse and a great start to any meal.

Having married into a family from Spain a few years ago (and traveling to Spain twice before that), I can say with certainty that Costa del Sol is one of the most authentic Spanish restaurant you will find anywhere. I had previously thought other "tapas" restaurants were truly Spanish but I now know that most are just a mix of... More

Thought the food was not very tasty. I had the house paella and was very disappointed. Had to add so much salt and paper to it.

Spanish cuisine and atmosphere are awesome. Service and quality of meals are noteworthy. I record this restaurant as it serves serb Galician food always. I always am treated very well. The owners are very genuine.

We met some close friends whom we had not seen in many, many years for dinner in this authentic Spanish restaurant. The owner is from the northern part of Spain and the excellent cuisine reflected this regional distinction. And we dined in Spanish style. Tapas (with cured ham and cheeses imported from Spain), side dishes, main courses, and desert. Excellent... More
