service was very good. I had the full rack of ribs. Flavor was excellent but fattier than I like them. My dinner companion thought the fish was average but the sausage was top notch.

Great service, good food. The night life is hectic and loud! Still if you're in the mood for a party, take the time to stop in and enjoy!

I visited this restaurant while in Hartford for a conference. I always try to explore the city I'm in and I am more than happy that I ventured off to ths place. The food was outstanding! I had the fried green tomatoes for starters and they were great! I had the two meat combo with ribs and fish, mac and... More

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I had the shrimp & grits - I didn't expect the shrimp to be so large!!!! Absolutely delicious.

Have been here a few times.I usually don't go to any restaurants in cities unless I have no other option.Don't like the congestion,or paying to park. But we do make an exception for BES.Girlfriend loves the fried chicken, and cornbread.I had the combo platter which was really good as well.Menu isn't really big,but I believe it's better to do the things you... This was the first revisit to this place in over a year since I don't get to downtown Hartford too often. Lunch was absolutely no disappointment. Pulled pork sandwich, their specialty was excellent. Price was reasonable as well.

I really enjoyed my dinner. I had the Pan Seared Salmon and my colleague had the Damn Good Chicken, really it was called that. The live music was an unexpected treat. I would recommend this restaurant.

Party of 7 had dinner 4/22/15 at BES. We shared the wings, okra, sweet potato fries, and green tomato's. We all ordered different entrees. One of us ordered the Jambalaya. By 12pm he was throwing up for the next 4 hours. Everything else, for the most part, met our expectations, but it is disappointing that someone would get ill.
