My husband, bro in-law, sis in-law, and myself went to Kashmir last night and we were oh and ahh-ing all over the place. My husband had Chicken Tandori, my bro in-law Lamb Vindaloo (spicy), my sis in-law Vegetable Masala, and I had the Okra Masala. We also ordered some partha and chappati. We weren't sure about the difference, and the... More

My partner, friend and I decided to try Kashmir based on the other positive reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. The waitress, Lauren, is the daughter of the cook and very friendly. We were the only table in the restaurant so she gave us even more attention which was nice. We start with the vegetable samosas, perfectly fried.... More

My wife and I had dinner on Friday night at 6. The waitress, daughter of the cook was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. I had the lamb vindaloo, my wife had the Channa Aloo Masala, a vegetarian dish that was also very good. I asked for garlic naan which was not on the menu and the... More

I've been going here for so many years, and I can't find any place that beats it for such delicious food at such a good value. Any chance I have to have a business meeting over lunch or dinner, that's where I try to go - and some of those people are now hooked on the place, too! They'll make... More

I never wrote a review for any restaurant but I try different restaurants. The Kashmir is one of my favorites. If you think you "don't like Indian food," try “Kashmir”. It will raise your expectations. My wife and I have our menu favorites. Our usual order consists of vegetable Samosas, Mulligatawny Soup, Chicken Tikka, Muttar Paneer, Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Shaag,... My wife and I have been to several Indian restaurants in CT and this one is prob one of the worst we went to. I read the reviews and a co-worker of mine said it was good so I had to try it. The portions were very small and my wife stated her frozen Indian meals from the grocery store... More

Went to Kashmir based upon tripadvisor reviews. We love Indian cuisine. But I guess it is a lot like your home cooking, we get used to our Mom's cooking and judge all else against that. Kashmir is not far from downtown by car. The ambiance was excellent, with tasteful Indian music in the background. Service was also excellent. The food... More

The restaurant is unique. The location is not among the most sought after ones, the restaurant itself looks a little run-down, the decor is decent and very ethnic. The food is interesting. With a definite Bangladeshi touch, it was a favorite of mine in the group of 4. The non-veg was very good, especially the goat. The veg was decent... More

My wife and I have eaten at Kashmir many times over the last two decades or so. We like the ambiance, for one thing. Unlike many ethnic restaurants with bad seating, bad lighting, and bad, loud music, Kashmir is cozy and authentic feeling. It is decorated like a tent, with authentic sitar and tabla music in the background. The service... More

We chose this restaurant during a trip to Hartford based on other recommendations from Tripadvisor contributors and we were not disappointed! The exterior and size of the restaurant were more modest than we expected but there was no wait (Sat evening around 7pm) to be seated and the interior decorations were warm and welcoming. The service throughout the meal was... More
