Enjoy a foot long hot dog or some fresh fish-it's all good!

Glenwood Drive-In has great food, from their foot long hot dogs to their soft shell crabs, it's a good local place.

$4.25 for a hot dog???The hot dog was nothing special. Staff was dour and mechanical. The check out person was leaning on the counter slurping a frothy drink. Not impressed with the place at all.

The hamburger was good but I prefer Wood N Tap burgers. But to be fair Glennwood is a place for a quick burger or hotdog. The burger has a nice charcoal flavor. None of the counter helpers were friendly at all. I wanted to say to each one smile!!! Don't you like your job???? From the order taker, soda worker,... More

Not my favorite place to eat. Very dated interior and food was just ok. Not great. We had hotdogs and fries. Service was slow even though they were not busy.

Glenwood is so much fun -- a Hamden institution. They will burn the hot dogs if you want them to, and I always do! Adjoining the Glenwood is Kelly's Kone Konnection for delicious ice cream. If you are lucky, my handsome son Matt might be doing the scooping.

Have been here twice this year. In january i had anice clam basket. In August actually had fried soft shell crab which was available briefly. The classic hamburgers and hotdogs are always good. There is a variety of ice cream in the back. How it works is you stand in line and order at order at the high counter. They... More

Glenwood has been a local favorite for as long as I can remember. Good hotdogs, burgers, fries as well as a good selection of fried seafood and hot lobster rolls. Always satisfying so much better than the fast food franchises. Convenient location and plenty of parking. If you have room for desert Kelly's Kone Comnection is right next door with homemade ice... For nostalgic reasons this place is cool. It's clean for a burger place. They don't have a great menu. The hamburger and hotdog rolls are the cheap ones you get at the grocery store. Roses dairy in Cheshire is way better!

Glenwood Drive- In Hamden Ct Glenwood Drive-In restaurant has been an institution in Hamden it seems like forever. It has evolved from a small drive in, from the days of ordering inside then eating your meal in your car, to a full service operation. The restaurant has been owned and operated by the Stone family for three generations. They are... More
