We stopped by here while on a scenic ride for Mother's Day. We had been here before, so we know the food is fresh and plentiful. Sofia always greets people at the door and makes you feel welcome. I ordered the lobster bisque, which was chock full of lobster, and stuffed shrimp which was delicious; hubby ordered the small steak,... More

Eating at Maritime Grill is excellent experience. The owner not only cooks the food, but he will also greet his customers when he has a chance. From time to time they have a guy perform in his place. I would say it is one of my favorite places to eat at when I'm in town. This is their website: http://maritimegrille.net/

Last Saturday, we held a 70th birthday party for my wife at the Maritme Grill. We’ve been fairly regular customers at the restaurant and have gotten to know many of the wait staff and the owners Peter (chef) and Sophia (hostess). The grill is open seven days a week and either Peter or Sophia are always there. I’d invited about... More

Went for early dinner. My husband's draft beer was flat, the prime rib tough and very fatty, the filet mignon was dry, although cooked to the desired medium rare. Waste of money! Paid more due to holiday. Last time we visit that place. Pretty pathetic. One thing, it's very pretty inside, but you come to eat a nice dinner not... More

You would drive by this place and never blink an eye. Pull in! The food is fabulous and so much to choose from! We have been here several times and each and every meal has been outstanding. We chose to sit at the bar and the bartender Laura was great! This is a real hidden gem and the people are... More

The clam chowder was good. I had chicken Marsala and my husband had the scrod almondine. they were good, but I guess I expected more based on all the good reviews.

The irony is that I live in town and have not been here in possibly 10 years. The only reason for the lapse in time is that I travel often and tend not to go out much while at home. That is a shame, because this area (Branford, Guilford, Madison) has many excellent restaurants. So as I write this, the... More

Love this casual place. Terrific salads with grilled salmon, chicken, or steak. Delicious lunch specials are very reasonable, for example, wonderfully, moist teriyaki chicken, rice, and veggies for less than $10.00. Excellent service. Great to sit in front of the fire (probably a gas log) and have their NE clam chowder on a cold day. So homey and comfortable.

I think I know what happens to Red, the inmate who runs the prison kitchen on the TV series, "Orange is the New Black", when she gets paroled She gets a job as a hostess at Maritime Grill. The woman who led us to our table was the embodiment of Red -- spiky red hair, eastern European accent, and a... More

Middle of the road.. Literally.. You may miss it if you are not watching. Not near the water or anything, so not sure why the places in the vicinity was all called "maritime".. Once of you walk in, it is a big restaurant, lots of seats in different rooms including a full size bar.. However, as soon as you enter... More
