New Years Eve

Was surprised to get a reservation for two on this busy night. More surprised that they never wrote it down! Pleasantly surprised that we were able to get a booth anyway. The service was friendly but hyper-efficient, as though they wanted to free up seating as quickly as possible. French Onion... read more

This restaurant has been a family favorite for years- by family, I mean extended family of several sisters, parents, grandparents, cousins, etc. We come from all over Connecticut and keep coming back to the Maritime Grille whenever we can. The owners and servers are down-to-earth, friendly people. The food is made fresh, and never gives that generic, "heated from frozen"... More

This is a nice restaurant. The food is good, nothing exceptional. They are better with the seafood than the steaks. The restaurant interior was very ordinary. I found the prices very high. Maybe, though, that is just pricing in the East. I live in Las Vegas, NV which is a tourist bargain as far as restaurant prices and room prices.... More

We started with soup. Both the clam chowder and lobster bisque had no flavor at all. I could tell the prime rib was not oven roasted because it was gray colored. It was not seasoned, had no flavor at all and was mostly raw. The spanakopita, spinach & feta appetizer, was done very well with a crisp outside and tasty... More

We stopped by here while on a scenic ride for Mother's Day. We had been here before, so we know the food is fresh and plentiful. Sofia always greets people at the door and makes you feel welcome. I ordered the lobster bisque, which was chock full of lobster, and stuffed shrimp which was delicious; hubby ordered the small steak,... More

Eating at Maritime Grill is excellent experience. The owner not only cooks the food, but he will also greet his customers when he has a chance. From time to time they have a guy perform in his place. I would say it is one of my favorite places to eat at when I'm in town. This is their website: http://maritimegrille.net/

Last Saturday, we held a 70th birthday party for my wife at the Maritme Grill. We’ve been fairly regular customers at the restaurant and have gotten to know many of the wait staff and the owners Peter (chef) and Sophia (hostess). The grill is open seven days a week and either Peter or Sophia are always there. I’d invited about... More

Went for early dinner. My husband's draft beer was flat, the prime rib tough and very fatty, the filet mignon was dry, although cooked to the desired medium rare. Waste of money! Paid more due to holiday. Last time we visit that place. Pretty pathetic. One thing, it's very pretty inside, but you come to eat a nice dinner not... More

You would drive by this place and never blink an eye. Pull in! The food is fabulous and so much to choose from! We have been here several times and each and every meal has been outstanding. We chose to sit at the bar and the bartender Laura was great! This is a real hidden gem and the people are... More

The clam chowder was good. I had chicken Marsala and my husband had the scrod almondine. they were good, but I guess I expected more based on all the good reviews.
