Unique food and experience - we will be back!

We specifically made the drive to eat at the unique spot. We knew before we went that it was going to be different. The outdoor open fire cooking is awesome - surprise! There is smoke. The very laid back, outdoor, open seating on stumps and low tables is unlike other places in the area - surprise... read more

The food is great, portions a little on the small side. Everything is A la carte so it can be very expensive. Has a wonderful rustic ambiance, tree stumps for seats and wire spools for tables.

So this is pretty basic: you sit at a raw wooden table on tree stumps with a clamshell floor and provide your own drink and some sides. But the local corn roasted on the huge grill was great. The steak seemed variable, with our friend's being better than ours. The clams, they said, were ace. Good, if over-cold ice-cream sundae.... More

This is a special kind of place... you sit on a tree stump, order from a wooden board, eat from a paper plate and pay cash. No frills and no amenities. Service looks like it will take a long time but it doesnt and the food is delicious. Prices are low. It's a no brainer - we came back a... More

Love this place. Super cool. Be sure to bring a tablecloth and drinks. We brought appetizers but they are not really necessary. The sides offered are plenty. The corn and veggies are delicious. There are lots of great choices for the grill. Great to eat under the stars. Awesome experience and can't wait to go back.

This restaurant is located by the Boston Post Road. It doesn't have alcoholic beverages, so if you want to drink some, You should bring you own! The only downside is about the fact the ir doesn't have air conditioning so during summer it can get really hot!

This Place has it's own advertising with their outdoor dining. I have eaten here many times. It is not just lobster , it is also Blue Fish (my favorite! ) , steak, chicken , mussels , clams , corn on the cob, and many deserts as well ! Last time I had a great Hot Fudge Sundae ! You sit... More

Atmosphere was great, we ate here twice and the food is okay, but we will return for the relaxed setting. They need to work a little on the seasoning of the chicken and steak. The Lobster and corn are great but with butter and an open fire you can't go wrong.

It had been awhile since we've been to The Place. On our recent trip, we loved every bite! Our waitress was friendly and attentive, even though it was a very busy Sunday. The food arrived little at a time, which was good, because then every item was hot. The corn was grilled perfectly and thoroughly enjoyable. The mussels and the... More
