but do expect freshly prepared albeit not heavily spiced, reasonably attractive presentation and not a particularly huge portion. Service was adequately provided by one waiter - but then the restaurant is small. Tiled chairs are uncomfortably hard although very pretty! As an alternative to the usual Tex-Mex establishments, this is a pleasant experience.

This place is tucked away behind the Guilford Green. They have very tasty and fresh food that is more interesting than the usual Tex/Mex. They have beer and good specials every day. It may not be as good as places out West but for Guilford CT it is pretty good.

This restaurant tries hard but fails to live up to serving good Mexican or south western food. It misses the mark on spiciness and the robust mix of flavors one would expect. My wife & I are from New Mexico and have a certain level of expectations and they were not met. The enchiladas were bland and the tortilla was... More

Do not waste your money at this revolting establishment. The chicken tasted like roadkill and the waiter was defensive and haughty when I mentioned it.

We live in town and this was the first visit. Did not even know the restaurant was here. Most restaurants in Guilford and the surrounding towns are excellent, so the bar is high. I like that this place has a simple menu. I am always leary of restuarants that have huge menus. How can they possibly cook all those different... More

Decided to try Rancheros for dinner and was dissappointed after reading several reviews claiming it was authentic latin cuisine. Certainly a friendly staff and inviting atmosphere but that does not make up for the poor quality of food which lacks any flavor whatsoever. Dishes are served with sides of dried out rice and even their salsas which appear to be... More

I have lunch or dinner here quite often. The food is always fresh and delicious. It's not the typical tex-mex but always delicious.

I have been here twice, and both times have loved what I ordered. The first time, I had the special soup - Butternut Squash - that had an excellent taste and little kick at the end. Really enjoyed it. For dinner, I had the chicken burrito. So fresh tasting. This last time, I had the chicken tostadas which I've never... More

Not your traditional Tex-Mex stuff. Helpful staff and great tasting selections. Small with seats and benches that can be less than comfortable. Also, because of the design of the restaurant can be cold in the winter. Forget that and enjoy the food. Told corkage charge, even to open a bottle of beer, is because the fees do not change just...
