Had an early weekday dinner at this casual, nearly empty restaurant. A nice view of the harbor across the street gives diners a genuine New England experience. The restaurant apparently suffered from the spate of disastrous hurricanes that ravaged the east coast a few years ago and is obviously still making changes to rebuild its customer base. Our hosts are... More

We were hoping for a good family meal on the harbor. We found a un impressive menu, less than great food quality, slow service at resort prices. Thought the Moorings across the street was better and we hear the little stone house is also good. Hope to try that.

Good pour on the Bloody Marys! The brunch menu looks great for $18.50 (app, entrée, and desert) but we opted for the ahi tuna "sandwich" on a whole grain toast perfectly cooked and the perfectly cooked lamb burger on a single slice of flavorful bread with a topping that was like the essence of a greek salad. Both reasonably priced... More

Won't go back. Food was just OK. Not worth the price. Service was OK, our Waitress was nice and there was nothing wrong with the place just thought the food was blah.

Went to a party there in a private room . Excellent Apps before dinner,as I went into dinner almost full. Ordered anyway and had a fine piece of swordfish. Everyone really liked their meals. Always the dependable Stone House. Also a lovely view of the harbour as you pull up. Parking in their lot is a problem as they are... More

It was our first visit recently, since Stone House reopened following saga from hurricane's Sandy and Irene and their subsequent remodeling issues twice.Their website isn't current or accurate and hasn't been updated in two years! We had brought elderly family (97yrs old!)with dietary issues and based our decision to go here,on the website and harbor setting. We had salmon, veal and swordfish,ALL agreeing... More

We have eaten here many times for the first few years we lived in Guilford, and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. But we stopped going when we were treated very rudely by the hostess and the wait staff. We were basically ignored by the hostess, and then waited for at least 15 minutes for the slightest indication that our waitress... More

My Mom and I were in the neighborhood and she wanted to get some gift certificates here so we stayed for a quick bite. The service was good and the food also was good. Only thing is that we were seated in the bar and there were a few yokels who were getting loud...

Have been to the Stone House a number of times and enjoyed the food and the service. Cannot say any of it was exceptional but it was well prepared, tasty and well severed. Today's meal of a Tomato bisque was somewhat flavorful but really nothing I would recommend. The salmon cakes were truly bad. Being a woodworker I have eaten... More
