I used to love this restaurant. There is a huge change since I was there in April 2013. Menu changed (removed my favorite dish..stuffed shrimp), appetizer was terrible, martini special was terrible and had to send it back. The waiter forgot our appetizer and our wine. The menu looks like they have very similiar ingredients in different dishes-perhaps to save... More

We went there for an anniversary dinner. This was our first (and last) time there; prefer Bravo Bravo. Our server was very kind and attentive (for the most part). We were there early when it was not busy. As the tables filled up, our waitress was more than occupied. Probvably could have used another server or two. The food was... More

Great food from a creative chef, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food is consistently good and never fails to please . Smaller in size the place can sometimes get very loud,,but who cares ,the foods great.

Our friends made a res., which on the wknd is recommended. Once we were all settled, our waiter Dominic took very good care of us. We explained we hadn't seen each other in years and would be chatting for a bit and he accommodated us very nicely. The food was excellent, and they had several reasonably priced bottles of wine.... The food was really good however it is pricy. The atmosphere is cozy, it is a bit tight in the restaurant but it's not bad.

Res at 7. Maybe we lingered too long with apps and drinks while kitchen got in the weeds. Cold, had to to put coats on and we weren't alone. Finally got dinners at 8:35. Special Sirloin with Bernaise sauce was $35 for inferior cut - lots of un-chewable fat, grisle and no beef taste smothered in way too much sauce... More

We have been here multiple times, never had anything close to a bad meal. Servers are awesome, atmosphere, especially late in the evening, is great...candlelit and cozy yet classy. It can get loud at times, but the food is great. I love the crab stuffed shrimp. They obviously have a head chef that cares. Highly recommended and worth the money.

All of us loved our entrees.Manager and hostess were very eager to please even though we had no reservations, manager took our order while in lobby so food would be out very soon after we were seated.

Choose Olio for a business dinner based on the reviews on read. My customers and associates were not disappointed. I had advised that this was going to be a business dinner when I made the reservation. We were seated in a room behind the bar and away from the main dining area. No issues with hearing each other talk. Drinks... More

After a horrible experience at an Old Saybrook Inn, we decided to stop at this little gem. Our waiter, Chico, was delightful, the food was wonderful, and the atmosphere clean and modern. Olio rescued our weekend!
