A lovely location on the water in a simple historical setting. Pasta very fresh and nice selection of salads and desserts. Lunch is busy and outdoor seating at a premium. Friendly but service slow because food is freshly prepared.

I've been coming to Paul's on and off since shortly after they opened...first meal was on New Year's Eve in 88 or 89. Have taken numerous friends and relatives from outside the area here and don't think I have ever heard a complaint. In all that time, I've had one bad meal here....an undercooked chicken breast about 20 yrs ago.... More

Paul's Pasta is by far the best pasta place around! The portions are big enough to have two meals. The Chicken Diablo is my favorite......and I live eating on the deck watching the boats!

A handful of friends of mine and I went to Paul's at the recommendation of a friend and the reviews that we saw on TripAdvisor. I can say that all six of us were happy with the service and the food. The portions are large so if you order a large if you want to very filling meals (one for... More

Delicious and fresh. Watch them making the macaroni in the front window. Sheets of dough going through the press and cut. Had a lunch sized bowl of spaghetti, my daughter had ravioli, my son, fettucini Alfredo. All delicious even though it was quite crowded. Our only negative is that the pasta was a bit more al dente than we like,... More

Go here every time I'm in the area, usually a long wait and the food is worth every minute of that wait. You can watch them make the pasta in the store front while you wait. It's rather cramped inside so we usually get our food to go, just as good as being there.

We recently had Friday dinner at Paul's Pasta. Upon arriving at Paul's, we were told we'd have a 50 to 55 minute wait. The wait time was right on what we were told. We were seated on the deck behind the building. With the sun going down, the view of the river was nice but not picturesque. When the waitress... More

A few weeks ago on a Saturday, my wife and I attended a local fair here in a Connecticut with another couple, and around mid-afternoon the couple suggested we head to Groton to Paul's Pasta Shop. Although I usually never turn down Italian food, I was experiencing significant upper back pain from an injury, however, I reluctantly agreed to go... More

Stumbled upon Paul's Pasta after a USS Nautilus employee suggested it for lunch. The amazing pasta with a wide variety of preparations, the friendly staff, and the great views from the deck combined for an excellent lunch experience. I'll be thinking about my pasta primavera with amazingly fresh vegetables and delicious garlicky oil for a long time to come.
