Good old-fashioned diner

An authentic "silver diner" from the 50s. The food is good and reasonably priced. Service is good. Used to be open 24 hours, but not any more.

I went there in the evening to get a quick thing to eat. I had eggs with toasts and fried potatoes. The food was ok to good but I couldn't stand the taste of the toast. The oil used to cook taste old and awful. I am not sure how often it is changed. A pity as the food could... More

We stopped in here for an early breakfast after driving through the night to visit family in MA. The food was great-what little we got to eat. Our 4 yr old got sick while in the diner-put a damper on our appetites- but the waitress and cook were so helpful and courteous. They even gave us 10% off our Bill... More

We needed pie at 1130 pm and so we headed to Norm's. The staff were quite entertaining. We had a front seat to the local flavor and we totally enjoyed our time there. The waitress and cook were very pleasant and we felt as if we had known them for a long time. Pie was ok, decaf was fresh overall... More

Dynamite food, quick service and an old world charm. The portions are huge so be prepared to stuff yourself silly.

This is one of the few original stainless steel dining car from the 50's. Food is basic old school cooking. I had the Texas French toast and real eggs on the side. The staff is well trained and quick.

The best place for breakfast and their lunches are good too! I love this diner! Their eggs over easy, bacon and toast are my favorite breakfast dish and their BLT is my favorite for lunch. Love the atmosphere of Norms and I hope it never changes!

Came here totally by chance after visiting the Submarine Force Museum thanks to the GPS. What we got was a cool, old-style diner with a limited menu skewed towards breakfast with some lunch offerings. We were aiming for lunch on a hot summer day .... but no salads were to be found! What we ended up with was the Norm... More

We stopped at 5am while on a road trip, tired and hungry from an all-night drive up the East Coast. At Norm's we found quick, friendly service, a great stack of pancakes, and bottomless coffee that gave us the energy for the final push. It ain't fancy. A long counter, some booths, an open griddle. But the tableware and restrooms... More

Calling this restaurant terrible is strong enough. I stopped at Norm's Diner while visiting the area several weeks ago. I was shocked at how the cook treated his customers. He was throwing food at them. He was telling insulting ethnic jokes. He did not know that the menu items changed. I will never stop at Norm's again. I do not... More
