Tasty, fresh seafood at the shore

On a beautiful, summer day we headed to Groton, Ct and Costello's for a delicious, fresh fried clam, shrimp, scallop lunch complete with fries and cole slaw. Meals are ordered and picked up at the takeout window. They have up and downstairs outdoor seating which is covered. It was a delightful... read more

Went to sister restaurant Abbots for dinner and here for lunch and had the clam roll. If you come to this area you must stop.

We drove down on a weekday for lunch and ordered the hot lobster rolls. They are probably the best we've eaten down East and extremely close to the ones from Maine! Wait about 10 minutes and you'll be in heaven. No complaints here.. especially for the beautiful view on the upper deck. Pure lobster pleasure!

We visit Costello's once or twice every summer during our month at Groton Long Point. Twice this summer and the latest was last night under a nearly full moon and nearly 80 degree temp. Plenty of boat traffic heading back into Noank and Mystic. In short, an ideal setting for one last New England dinner: boiled lobsters, steamers, fried clams,... More

park in a marina and short walk to the window to order get a number and wait for your order, and then pick up at a different window. Tables are are outside over looking the boats at the marina and long island sound food is good and the atmosphere is calming.

Relaxing and enjoyable view of the harbor/ocean.Each year my wife and I visit Abbott's but this season, we planned to visit Costello's, Abbott's sister restaurant. Perhaps it was an off day for the kitchen staff at Costello's, but I have thoughts about going back next year (seasonal). My wife wife ordered the Abbott's Hot Lobster Roll ($17.95) that was dry... We love visiting Abbott's each year for lobster rolls on the water and decided to give Costello's a try this year as well...call it "dessert" if you will! We were stuffed so opted to try the Clam Cakes and they were outstanding...crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and full of clams. Just the way they should be! Also... More

Great little place to have some lunch while watching the boats go by! Everyone in my party got some sort of seafood or chowder which they said was very good. However, I got a chicken sandwich and it left much to be desired. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have been here many times and would definitely return.

Since we're from Texas, we don't have clam shacks on every corner, so we drove my Mystic to Noank to have clams at Costello's. We went on a week day, and it was not crowded. We parked in the boatyard's lot, and you simply order your food at a take-out window. I got the Clam Strip Dinner for $13, and... More
