Fresh seafood with a view

we just happened to come on Costello's and are glad we did. We were in the mood for Fish and Chips and got a great view to boot. This is a small place right on the water with counter service and plenty of tables with a water view. The fish that we got was very fresh and tasty. There was... read more

It wasn't overly crowded when we arrived and we only had to wait a few minutes to place our order at the ordering window. I ordered the Creamy Clam Chowder, Steamers and a Whole Belly Clam Roll. After placing our order we found a table (there were plenty) and we waited. And waited. And waited. Which would have been fine... More

I've been to Costellos before and it keeps getting better. Today we had a cold lobster roll, scallop dinner with fries and clam fritters. My scallops were delicious, lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The lobster roll was to die for, marinated in there special house sauce. I LOVE their house sauce. The environment is fantastic and the employees are happy... More

We went to Mystic for a quick getaway weekend. We were not interested in going to any food chain restaurant or pricey touristy restaurant. So we drove around a little and put fried seafood in the navigation. Costellos looks like a dive greasy spoon. In my experience, those are the best. We ordered our food at the window and and sat... Years ago we would go to Costello's after a day on the water for French Fries and Whole Belly Clams and the food was good. The last few years however we haven't had a good meal or snack (and it isn't cheap). At the beginning of the last few summers we try to give them another chance because they are... More

Costello's name says it all.. it is a shack, but with nothing but outdoor seating and wonderful views of the water and the boats. The food is wonderful... fried clams (bellies and strips), shrimp, fish & chips, lobster rolls (hot or cold) and boiled lobsters from time to time... BYOB. The seating is at picnic tables in many instances. On... More

Love this place for fresh fried seafood. Cant beat the outdoor seating on a nice day. Everything we've ever ordered there has been really fresh. Not the cheapest place around, but worth treating yourself to some great local fried seafood.

We were looking for a place for lunch and noticed the long line at Abbott's and we were happy to discover Costello's basically right around the corner. You order your food at a window and are given a number which will be called when it is ready. There is a variety of fish to choose from but we decided the... More

Came here after we took a ride on the Mystic Seaport's, Sabino. During our ride we had passed this place, Ford;s Lobster and Abbotts. It was getting late and Ford's had a 45 minute wait and Abbott's was packed. We were the last patrons served at Costello's that evening which may account for the so-so food and slow service. I...
