We had 7 people in our party and nobody enjoyed their food. The soups were very salty, especially the French onion soup. We were there on a Friday night, and 3 of us ordered the grilled scallops. They said they only had enough to give the scallops to 2 of us and they don't get their fish in until Saturday.... More

I started going to this place over 40 years ago. Have recently moved back into the area and tried it again. I used to be in love with their New England Clam Chowder, not great now. The broiled fish platter wasn't very good, seemed a bit watery. Stuffed shrimp, used to be my wife's favorite, couldn't finish it, not very... More

Food and service was just OK. The servers seemed disorganized and not even for party of 9. The broiled mixed fishplatter had to mamy bread crumbs on top.

The service at the Fisherman is outstanding and the views of the water from the terrace are ever changing. It is one of the places that at least once we always eat at during our August at Groton Long Point family get-together. They have a full menu, but we go for the seafood, or salads at lunch time.

My wife and I had dined there several times in the past and loved everything about the place, We had dinner there on 09/07/2014 and left not feeling in the same manner we had our prior dining experiences. To begin our rolls were cold and served with butter that was harder than a brick. I ordered the fried seafood platter... More

The restaurant is dated and needs a makeover but the food and the views are good. A bit pricey though. There are many better restaurants nearby in Mystic.

restaurant sits right on the water. can eat in or out. ambience is lovely. service is good. food is disappointing. the lobster bisque was very salty and a bit thick. the crab cake appetizer was so peppery it could hardly be eaten. fried clams were ok and a large portion. the prices are a bit high.

I had been there a couple of years ago and upon walking in noted how filthy it was. Normally that would turn me away but we were hungry and it was late so we gave it a try. I ordered some type of stew which was bland and overcooked. I ate a few bites had some bread and we left.... More

A very nice, quiet place to eat lunch and dinner. The choice of many locals who summer on GLP. We eat there on every trip to Connecticut. $$$

A great, old-school seafood restaurant, never crowded and always relaxing. The fish and chips are outstanding, we love the Portuguese mussels, and in general everything we've tried here has been very good and the portions are huge. Very friendly and efficient service. Outdoor seating by a tidal pool is an enjoyable place to have a drink and watch the sunset.... More
