An overrated & overpriced establishment

My wife and I hadn't dined here in quite a few years when we were thoroughly delighted several times with their cuisine. We dined there this past summer for an early dinner. Their prices are off the wall. Their portions are small. The place is "stuffy". There is too much help fawning over the... read more

Thomas Henkelmann is an extraordinary chef. He know his craft the way the best chefs of the world do. This is because he is one of the great chefs. He is one of a small number of Relais Gourmands chefs in the United States. The restaurant Thomas Henkelmann is a must go to place for anyone who wants to taste... More

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch recently at the Homestead Inn in Greenwich Ct---Everything we had was excellent from the soup to our entre. The desserts were fantastic. Service was very good and we enjoyed our time there. The restaurant is a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion

For old rich people who want to have a fantasy that they are better than the common people, this is the place. Very class oriented. I see in the reviews that some people have noticed the rude service and some people think the service is great. They are both right. The wait staff is very respectful of the regular big... More

we have been here many times and this restaurant always delivers the same excellent food, service, charm. Prix fix menu for New Year's Eve - well paced, not rushed, great service on each course. Extensive wine list, pricey but lots of selections. This is the epitome of a great restaurant.

I had lunch here today with 5 other women to celebrate a birthday. All of us go out for meals quite often in NYC and Fairfield County and we all agreed that this is one of the very best. The food is always wonderful and tastefully presented. Any menu item that sounds good will be good. The food is very... More

We went for our anniversary and it was a real treat. It has an old-fashioned, cosy atmosphere, and the food was really fantastic - we literally scraped our plates clean.

This restaurant is 5 stars in every way. It has a nice quiet ambiance to enjoy a meal. The food is excellent. My wife had an excellent duck. My steak was great. There is a wide selection for any palate. Great selection of wine priced well. Service was professional yet friendly. My only complaint was no chocolate ice cream. That's... More

I chose Henkelmann to celebrate my boyfriends' birthday with an overnight stay at the inn and dinner as we enjoy Relais & Chateaux properties. It was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Food was very good but service atrocious. There was no acknowledgement by the staff of the special occasion despite advising them at time of reservation. The worst aspect... More
