We were given a gift certificate and the person checked before he bought it to make sure they would accommodate me, I am vegan. They said no problem. I checked again when I made the reservation and was told the chef would make something special for me. We sat and the busboy came over to ask if we wanted bubbly... More

There is no doubt that Thomas is a wonderful chef. However one can dine just as well in a number of other local French restaurants without paying the same sky high prices. We would always return for the food but not for the prices.

The Homestead is wonderful but be prepared to spend some money. Food is excellent. Service superb. Great atmosphere. A "special occasion" place unless you are on an expense account!

My wife and I were visiting Greenwich the weekend of June 1st. We normally dine at the Belle Haven Club with our "second Mother" who is a local. This time we stopped at Thomas Henkelmann's restaurant just to have a cocktail before dinner at the club. What a very nice place. The grounds are beautiful. The valet was so pleasant... More

For my wife's birthday I picked the No.#1 Restaurant in Greenwich, CT, The Thomas Henkelmann Inn, on Field Point Road. Treated like VIP's from the moment we walked in and were introduced to wonderful wine list and a selection of delicious continental cuisine. We had the dover sole and I a magnificent veal with lobster risotto. The staff was very... More

Thomas Henkelmann is a VERY talented chef. Our meals there (2 dinners and 2 breakfasts) were all outstanding. The desserts at dinner were unusual and DELICIOUS. We will definitely return.

As soon as you step into this 19th-century mansion in Greenwich, CT you know you are in for a special treat. The warm friendly greeting and attentive service is a hint of the inspired, delicious, classic French food that you are about to savor. I started off with Maryland Crab Cake that were sumptuous. That was followed by roast Long... More

Exceptional French and continental cuisine served with professional, old-world charm in an attractive mansion setting. Food is first rate. (Sauteed shrimp salad and dover sole were examples of culinary perfection.) Prices are high, making this more likely a place for celebrations rather than regular dining.

I hosted my birthday dinner at Thomas Henkelmann for 20 friends. The staff worked closely with me on the planning, which included hors d'oeuvres and cocktail on the outdoor patio menu suggestions with wine pairing and after dinner cordials. We were given a private dining room which was the perfect size for us to mingle and socialize during the meal.... More

When I was asked to attend a business meeting in Greenwich last month, I just it was going to be in a windowless, generic hotel conference room. What a pleasant surprise to arrive at the Thomas Henkelmann. The decor is beautiful, the food is excellent and everyone I encountered there went above and beyond to take care of us. From... More
