Four letter word for the best host in Greenwich. Hint: While waiting for your reservation date to arrive, spend time brushing up on your trivia because along with juicy, generously portioned steaks TONY, the restaurant's host, will undoubtedly stop by and ask you a trivia question (or two). Although their claim to fame is their meats, don't overlook the Chilean... More

This is a great place to treat yourself to a beautiful steak and have some loud laughs. Great atmosphere for dates, or a table of friends. Food is fabulous, parking is easy and usually the wait is non existent.

I had tried to book this restaurant through Open Table for months and had never succeeded. This time I booked two weeks in advance for a week night and finally succeeded. Now I know why I could not get in before. Gabriele's is arguably the best restaurant in Greenwich. I arrived before my guests so that I could check out... More

I have been coming to Gabriele's on a fairly regular basis, IE maybe once every 6-8 weeks on average, mostly for work dinners, but a few times a year for a nice meal with my wife. The restaurant never disappoints. The service is always first class - attentive without being obtrusive or overbearing. Always professional and courteous and friendly. The... More

We had a spectacular experience at this restaurant. First, we had drinks at the bar. The dining room is unique. The room is round and banquette tables are located on the outer rim of the room. Most of the waiters and staff are of Eastern European origin. Food is Italian and good, too!

I am a huge fan of Valbella and Tony. So when this place opened, I immediately gave it a try. Frankly, they weren't ready when they first opened. I had a few bad meals. Then I stopped going. Well I gave it another try recently and what an improvement. The kitchen is humming. The execution is flawless. Was there on... More

Overall the food is good and the head waiter is very friendly and charming. We did have a bad experience recently with a pasta and white truffle order. The restaurant charged us sixty dollars but gave us a ridiculously small portion of truffle. Yes i understand truffle is rare and expensive. We have had this same dish at other restaurants... More

The bar scene was terrific - gorgeous and inviting fireplace (hey, it's winter here so it was critical to unthaw!), dimly lit and cozy place to have a glass of wine (for $15!). The entire restaurant really is beautiful. The dining room is gorgeous, spacious and the menu is delectable. The only problem is that it's Greenwich - only here... More

Fresh white truffles usually make for a spectacular dish. Not so here. The special, Alba white truffles over fettuccine was $100. We asked if we could have the dish over gnocchi instead. When it arrived we were told by the waiter that the kitchen had made it over fettuccine anyway, but he'd made up for it by giving us far... More

Dined at Gabriel's this past Saturday night and this was undoubtedly the noisiest restaurant that I have ever been to. The dining room was pretty full and possibly due to a low ceiling and close tables, the volume of people's voices was unbearable. We had to scream to the waiter so he could hear our order. Conversation with my wife... More
