I phoned in reservations for two on a Saturday night. I asked the hostess the best time to come in and she said 6:30pm. When we arrived, they could only sit us near the bar while other tables remained empty. The hostess, in a rude manner, said they were for parties of four and refused to sit us there. I told... More

Decor is bordelloish. The cotton candy and margaritas does not make up for the medicore food quality. The fish I ordered and gave back to the waiter was definitely salt water and still swimming in salt.

I recently went to Lolita's with a few girlfriends during a recent business trip. Lolita's was recommended to us by the hotel as a great place for Mexican. Overall, I loved the decor and the vibe it created. To me, anything that doesn't look like a chain restaurant scores points with me. Drinks were good - they were out of... More

I cannot say enough about how much I love this restaurant. The ambiance is dark and sexy with incredible music filling the space. For a couple looking for a quiet dinner together, this may not be the place for you. The restaurant is ofter very busy and the music tends to be a bit loud giving it more of a... More

This was my second visit to Lola's and overall I have to say it was a positive experience with a few drawbacks. First a helpful hint or two-This place is trendy, darker, loud and busy. While you might use the word "seductive" to describe it, I would not use the word romantic. If you want conversation or privacy with your... More

The food was good but the experience terrible. We were constantly rushed ( the desert plate was taken out as my friends fork was going in for the last bite) One dinner was not delivered with the other 3, as they said it was taken to another table by mistake, then they it was the wrong one when delivered 10... The Lolita Cocina was a wonderful surprise. The service was great, atmosphere nice and food excellent. I opted for the fish tacos and enjoyed every bite. I can’t wait to go back!

This is owned by the same people who own Red Lulu in South Norwalk. The menus are practically identical. And the prices are pretty much the same. We prefer the decor of Red Lulu. But others might like Lolita's decor better. The fish dishes are very good to good. The spicy tuna I ordered was good but nothing outstanding. The... More

Too much food, and every bite of it fabulous! Start with homemade chips with 3 salsa's, enough for an army. A zillion entrees to select from. My shrimp and my companions salmon were both excellent. Cornbread as a side was rich and delicious. Our dessert, a round of cake with subtle coconut flavors was a knockout! And then...they serve you... More

The place may be too loud at times to hear your conversation but it adds to the sense of energy. The food is very good mexican with intereting twists to the menu and in summer one can eat in their courtyard. Eveyr meal is ended with ctton andy which is a fun change of lace.
