Unlike some of the other trendy Greenwich restaurants, you can carry on a conversation without straining. The food is excellent and a real bargain. The pad Thai was very good as was with fried rice. Portions large, staff very accommodating. Will be back.

If you want great value, courteous and fast service this is the place. Tasty fresh good quality food--well prepared. Small restaurant just off Greenwich Ave--also does take-out.

Terrific, BYOB, pan-Asian food. Well prepared, fresh, friendly staff. Lost some of the crowd it had before as there's been a turnover to staff. The food is still good and great value.

Consistent good quality food at a reasonable price. It's less crowded than it was a few years ago due to waitstaff turnover, and maybe it's lost a small step over the years. The positive aspect of that is that you can now get a table with no waiting, and the food is still good. We've been customers for many years.

The building and restaurant are very small but the food is very good and comes in decent size portions. The dumplings were great and the Lo mein was tasty! I will be back!!

If I could eat their Sambal Chicken every day for the rest of my life, I'd die a happy man. It's nice to eat there, but it's so small that you'd be better off doing takeout, but you'll be hooked.

I live in Greenwich, CT and always enjoy ordering from Penang. I usually go with a chicken or beef dish with vegetables, ginger and a brown sauce but honestly everything I have ordered has been great. I even tried their "asian iced tea", which looks like carrot juice, but tastes surprisingly (pleasantly) different. You can take out, and when you... More

As others have said, this is among the best places in town for Chinese food (and the Thai and other offers a great, too!). Penang can ALWAYS be depended on for reliably good food.

This is definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants in town. The ambiance is okay, but we like that the food is not super greasy as much Chinese food is.
