Tasty Food

Lovely place for lunches, dinners & Sunday brunch. Good solid food which is always very tasty. Love the chicken souvlaki (spelling is probably wrong).

Great and popular for breakfast with more than the typical diner offerings. Lunch specials are really good and quite affordable in otherwise pricy Greenwich. No wonder it is popular!

We arrived in Greenwich after a grueling stop and go drive northwards from NYC. Decided to pull off, take a beak and find a place to eat. We only saw a few blocks of downtown, but it was full of interesting shops and eateries. Selected Putnam by chance and glad we did. I had the Greek salad topped with chicken.... More

Was in Greenwich for business and had some time to stop in and get some breakfast. When I walked in, there was no greeting. I did not even know who worked there and who did not work there. I just made my way to the counter and sat down and was given a menu. The food was above average although... More

Putnam is a place where I go often. It is good to see familiar faces who recognize you and get good food - always. Putnam is like home away from home.

There's nothing fancy about Putnam...just good service and good food at reasonable prices. It's so much better than Versailles, up the street or the madhouse Starbucks. We sat at a booth near the open doors...on a cool summer morning, with a breeze blowing. The waitress brought coffee right away and our orders came promptly...eggs made to perfection, crispy bacon, hot... More

I'd go back, and I'd recommend it to friends. What can I add? Service was friendly and prompt. Everyone was hustling. The food was very good. The restroom (even though unisex) was clean. Several details reminded me of what one finds in European cafés, except the food here was better. Dr. Scott says: check it out with confidence.

There food is good comfort food. Try their Gyros and they are famous for their sweet potatoe fries and waffles. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Family owned business and all the locals love it here, from rich to poor. Their service is great and the wait staff know they are there for you as the customer. Families go during... More

Looking for a great meal, and fab service? This is it. My wife and I were on the run and popped into this quaint diner. The menu had many great offerings. The service was friendly, not rushed, and very accommodating. We got the greek salad to share along with each of us ordering our own sandwiches. The salad was to... More

Narrow diner with a counter on one side and booths on the other. I went to this place by myself for dinner. Good-sized salads, try the one with bleu cheese. Very tasty Italian food, eggplant Parmesan sandwich was delectable. Professional service with a smile. This place cares.
