Good food, insincere service.

Always love the food here... favorite salad with polenta croutons! We also had a couple of happy hour specials in the bar - flatbreads were good. Service seems rushed... guessing they want to turn tables.

We visited this past week arriving at about 9:00 p.m. and ordering entrees and drinks. After the repast, the help staff was visibly rude in a-hemming and indicating our stay with them was over and finished. The food was dear. Expensive but plentiful. Nothing looked extraordinary and the margin of profit seems close to highway robbery.

This is my 3rd time to this Max restaurant and the 3rd time I have been pushed aside to business folks. This time takes the cake. My friend and I were wearing Northface fleeces as opposed to dress coats and wow, we were treated differently from the "office folks." We did not get refills on our drinks even though we... More

I enjoy coming here for lunch with my friend. I have gotten the Max a Penne, which is very good. I've also had their paninis. I think my favorite thing on the menu is the chicken pizza. They also have excellent bread that they bring out while you wait.

I've lived in Glastonbury for over 20 years and enjoy eating at Max Restaurants. In recent years, Max Amore has not been my first choice for lunch or dinner. However, over the holiday I met family at Max Amore for lunch and it was very good. We had an excellent waiter and the service was terrific. I ordered a salad... More

Dined at Max Amore for the first time late this past June with my (then) Fiancé and a couple of our close friends for an early Friday night dinner. The outdoor seating was perfect for the warm summer evening and the service was great.

Get away from the typical suburban shopping area with a quiet Italian bistro. Excellent service and the lunch selections were tasty and quite filling. The Tuscan Burger was excellent...one of the best I have had...instead of fries get the matching Tuscan salad.

I attended a party at this restaurant Jan 3, 2015. We had choices for the entree and I tasted 2 of them . They were both scrumptious. One was grilled salmon with brussell sprouts an one was a char broiled steak with mashed potato. Every mouthful was delicious and lip smacking good. I will definitely go back again. And the... More

We loved this restaurant so much! A group of 7 of us dinned (including 3 children) early evening. The restaurant was packed, so glad we made a reservation. The atmosphere was fantastic, along with the service, but the food was absolutely amazing! Even before you order your meals, you are given the most wonderful roasted garlics with tomato sauce and... I've eaten at 5 Max's. This is the only one that is a disaapointment. Ambience is lacking. THe locaiton is good, go to Max Fish instead. The servers are annoying, artificially friendly and intrusive, she must have interrupted me 5 times when I was in the middle of a sentence. Desert was good. I dont recommend it.
