I've eaten at 5 Max's. This is the only one that is a disaapointment. Ambience is lacking. THe locaiton is good, go to Max Fish instead. The servers are annoying, artificially friendly and intrusive, she must have interrupted me 5 times when I was in the middle of a sentence. Desert was good. I dont recommend it.

Love this place! Have been going here for years and years and never a bad meal. Recipes are consistently good and the desserts are something special if you have room. Bombolatti pasta is family favorite. Pasta with sausage, peas, and a creamy tomato sauce. Can't go wrong with any other dish and usually seasonal offerings. Good idea to make res... More

We were headed to Max Fish but they looked closed so we went into Max Amore. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. Lovely decorations for the holiday. I had the Canolli Stuffed Challa Bread French Toast and it was awesome. my friend had Melanzana Portafoglio and she was in heaven. Both of these meals were... More

Great appetizer sampler and a fabulous, attentive waiter named Chris. 8 people of dinner, terrific drinks, great presentation on stands, delicous fresh baked artisan break and roast garlic. I did find the menu a little lacking, so opted for a nice salad with grilled shrimp. It was fresh, plentiful and delicious. We opted for family style dessert with 2 of... More

The Max chain doesn't have a bad restaurant in the group. I frequent Max Amore and normally get the same meal everytime...the Tuscan salad with grilled shrimp and polenta croutons. Call me crazy but I love the combo of flavors and textures.

The menu has changed since the last time we ate hear. Choices are a bit simpler. They took away the linguini with clam sauce which is unfortunate. Still a good offering with good portions. Got the 1/2 chicken, was good. We'll be back for sure.

As always the food was excellent. The service was also very good. The ambience was adequate and perhaps the only reason for not rating the establishment a full 5 stars, If this were a Zagat rating I would give it a solid 24 out of 30. It's very easy to find, since it's just off the first exit from the... More

Our husbands were going to a Game Dinner at the Lodge my daughter and I opted to try a place nearby which we'd never been to. We called in advance for reservations which were gladly accepted. Two very pleasant co-hostesses welcomed us to the restaurant and one lead us to our table. In a matter of moments our server, Gabby,... More

We frequent all the Max restaurants, and Max Amore at every opportunity to redeem themselves, FAILS. My sister asked about the veggies due to an allergy, and not only did the waitress bring something completely different, but it was the one veg my sister is allergic to. This waitress, was very sweet, friendly, hospitable, etc...but she just didn't pay close... More
