Disappointment. Loud, noisey, could not have a conversation. The food was mediocre. We have been there before probably a year before. I enjoyed my meal, my husband did not. Therefore tje year wait. 17bucks bought the large size pizza, but it was more of a personal size pizza. :( The crust was one of those frozen ones anyone can buy at a warehouse store. You know, with the grill marks perfectly uniform? No air bubbles, no bite, no crisp, just chewy. Fresh herbs snipped with a few canned tomatoes crushed. ..were charred. ..in... More

We met friends two hours distant at this convenient mid-way point - Max Amore. Reviews like I've read about M.A. are why I started writing T.A. reviews in the first place - too many bad reviews where the issues probably aren't as bad as they seemed at the moment. We wandered in the back door and were treated like royalty... More

Max Amore has been a fixture in Glastonbury for many years and you could always count on great service and food. Dinner here last Wednesday night totally changed my perception; the service was fine and attentive, the food was another story. I have never been to a restaurant where I could not fine a single wine choice that didn't elicit... More

Always love the food here... favorite salad with polenta croutons! We also had a couple of happy hour specials in the bar - flatbreads were good. Service seems rushed... guessing they want to turn tables.

We visited this past week arriving at about 9:00 p.m. and ordering entrees and drinks. After the repast, the help staff was visibly rude in a-hemming and indicating our stay with them was over and finished. The food was dear. Expensive but plentiful. Nothing looked extraordinary and the margin of profit seems close to highway robbery.

This is my 3rd time to this Max restaurant and the 3rd time I have been pushed aside to business folks. This time takes the cake. My friend and I were wearing Northface fleeces as opposed to dress coats and wow, we were treated differently from the "office folks." We did not get refills on our drinks even though we... More

I enjoy coming here for lunch with my friend. I have gotten the Max a Penne, which is very good. I've also had their paninis. I think my favorite thing on the menu is the chicken pizza. They also have excellent bread that they bring out while you wait.

I've lived in Glastonbury for over 20 years and enjoy eating at Max Restaurants. In recent years, Max Amore has not been my first choice for lunch or dinner. However, over the holiday I met family at Max Amore for lunch and it was very good. We had an excellent waiter and the service was terrific. I ordered a salad... More
