Ordered a Black and Tan and was pleasantly surprised with the imperial pint. Good pours on all drinks, whiskey included. Jameson 18 year is on the menu - a nice bonus. Wings were cooked and sauced just right with plenty of blue cheese. Whiskey sauce amazing on the wings. Fish and chips tasty and not super greasy.

My husband and I went to this restaurant recently because of a Groupon. I wanted the Lamb Shanks but they were out so I settled on the Buffalo wings and Onion rings. The wings were great and the onion rings were good, i just like mine a little more crispy. My husband ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage meal which... More

Where do I begin? First, food and service is sub-par. Waitresses solely looking for tip and barely delivering food. Do not try to alter an item on the menu-it will not come the way you asked (ex. Hamburger without cheese because of lactose---it will come with cheese) Would be very skeptical and cautionary if dining with food allergies. Additionally, it's... More

From the incredibly rude greeter at the door to the noise and pushing crowd, this place was a huge disappointment. Perhaps your greeter should travel to Ireland and learn some graciousness and manners. We won't be back.

I am not a picky eater and don't think that I have high expectations as far as service goes but I was really not impressed by the food or service. I went with some friends for trivia night there. I was told the Guinness stew was good so the three of us ordered it. The waitress later came out and... More

Was in Glastonbury with work, and ducked into Hanafins, as clearly i dont get enough Irish pubs at home. Wings were pretty good and really spicy, and the beers are decent. Stew was only ok, but again, of course its going to taste a bit different from home. Staff were friendly and chatty, and there was a good vibe in... More

Ducked in for a quick brew and snack...and my friends and I ordered their buffalo wings. We loved them as they were drenched in too much hot sauce and had some crisp to them - just how we like them! Another member in my party ordered their sinful mac n' cheese which was served with breadcrumb topping - and also... More

We had a group of 5 for a family celebration. It was lunchtime on a Saturday and they were busy already. A very nice server was by herself and heroically handling bartending and serving tables. She was finally joined by another server an hour later, who also was very nice and a hard worker. The food is Irish, so don't... More

I've been to Hanafin's several times and have also been to the one in New London. I have never had a bad meal or bad service. I've tried several different dishes and all have been tasty and the prices are very reasonable. Even when the place was packed and a traditional music session was playing, the service has been good.... More

A nice atmosphere. Really average food. Really average service, but friendly. The french onion soup was average, at best. The Shepherd's pie was too salty, the Corned Beef sandwich was good, but the Guinness stew, although tasty, had almost no beef at all. The atmosphere in the bar is what you would expect from a Pub - and it lives... More
