good food at reasonable prices

This and the restaurant in Newington are very similar with menus, service, etc. The menu is varied, they do take out, make a good drink and I usually get their pizza. i have tried various pies and all are good. If you like clams, try the clam pie. The wait staff is attentive but not overly so and... read more

Great pizza, calzones, and Italian cuisine. Excellent family dining or a causal drink with friends. Bar and separate dining rooms. Recommend the meatball salad and eggplant fries.

In town in business with family. Excellent food, very generous portions and reasonably priced. Service a little slow, but worth it. Staff has been friendly. Highly recommend the meatball salad....delicious!!!! Comming from New Jersey (close to NYC) we are accustomed to good food, it's hard to find out of the area, but this fits the bill!!!

We have taken our kids here a bunch of times, and it's always good. We've had pizza, pasta, meatballs, salads, eggplant, grinders, etc...can't go wrong. Basic good Italian food spot. Always a long wait on weekends so plan ahead.

My parents recommended this restaurant, so we stopped in for dinner. Don't be off-put by the prices - the portions are enormous. I don't consider myself a "light" eater, but I was still eating the leftovers for two days after the visit! The garlic bread appetizer was delicious. It's free, but you have to ask for it, as they're trying... More

We've driven by Joey Garlic's hundreds of times when visiting family in the area - on this trip, we decided to give the place a try. The simple, rustic decor is very welcoming; our server, Shannon, was terrific. There are some interesting and unusual offerings tucked among the more familiar fare (eggplant fries, meatball salad), and I chose the pork... More

We went for a quick bite after work. The staff were very friendly an helpful. We ordered the joey garlic eggplant fries and ribs. Both were excellent but massive portions (be aware this was more than enough for main meal for 2). However we had also ordered the pizza which was also good. Really nice atmosphere and good food, friendly... More

Good food. Can get very busy. Wings are crispy and flavorful. Portions are huge. Pasta tastes fresh. Imaginative salad combinations (meatball salad). Never have any room left for dessert.

Obviously a popular place in the area, but the chicken parm had too much cheese and too little sauce. Not my favorite.

Ate here with my brother. Service was the excellent. This was an excellent CT Italian place that I long for each time I return to CT.
