Nice surprise

On our way home to jersey, when we needed to take a break. Stopped here, it came up first on our gps. Cute little "shack". Pretty good assortment. Service kind of all over the place. When we walked in, there was one other person in front of us. Don't know how long he was waiting. The girl... read more

So my friend and I were coming back to MA from a Hershey Park vacation. She loves Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives so she really wanted to hit this place up on the way home for dinner. First clue that should have made us turn around....Saturday night, 6pm, in a oceanside town, with TWO PATRONS. I decided on the pulled... More

The restaurant food was absolutely disgusting. We had the Texas brisket sandwich which was dried with no flavor. The slaw and potatoe salad was overwhelmed with vinegar flavor. We also had lemonade which was made with the bottle lemon flavor. Don't go. Waste of money. If you know about BBQ

Wilson's just hosted our daughter's rehearsal dinner. Her future in-laws are from Texas and wanted the real deal authentic BBQ for the party. Wilson's opened on a night they are usually closed for our event. Great staff, and the food is just fabulous. Thank you!!

Found this restaurant on Diners Drive-In and Dives and had to make a stop. Had the baby back ribs and they were full of smokey flavor. Black eye pea salad was excellent. Home made fresh food was excellent. Very easy to get to off the I-95. If your in the area and in the mood for bbq definitely stop by.

if you're looking for great bbq, head to fairfield, ct. for bbq at wilson's. on this visit we had outstanding pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, with sides of cornbread, and french fries. the sandwiches come with pickles, cole slaw or potato salad. a variety of drinks are available. there is an indoor and outdoor seating area, or you can do... I wanted to like Wilson's a lot more than I did. Don't get me wrong, this is good BBQ at a good price. But I've been to some of the best BBQ places in the nation -- Rendezvous in Memphis comes to mind as well as Sonny's in Dallas. This doesn't compare, but it's certainly OK when you're in New... It has a small indoor seating area, but nobody cares. The food is incredible. The food here is just as good, maybe better than our favorites.from various places we lived in the south. You can tell the staff really cares about their food and their business. If Food Network has recently re-aired their episode from Guy Fieri's Diners, Dives, and... More

This is a very informal, mostly take-out place with only a few tables inside and picnic tables out front (on Rte. 1) for warm weather. They serve a dry rub, really smoked bbq; don't expect the stuff that's cooked with sticky sweet sauce. Sauce comes on the side, at varying levels of spiciness. I really love their chicken, succulent and... More

If you like "dry" ribs, as well as great barbeque brisket, there are few better places anywhere, let alone in Fairfield county, than Wilsons (that's his name). This is a small joint, probably better for takeout, on the Post Road in Fairfield near the train station. Not cheap, but good ribs rarely are. Try the baked beans and corn bread... More
