The flavor of the meat was the only good part of this experience. The person who helped us at the counter was very unfriendly. She definitely treated us as if we interrupted her day. So, don't go for the service. Also, the food was a bit pricey. The $9 Cesar salad does not come with any protein. Small salad of... More

Just like everyone else, I saw this place on Triple D and figured this must be a great barbecue place and decided to drive an hour to fairfiled to treat myself for my birthday. The place was rustic looking and something smelled good when we went inside. I ordered the two meat platter of Ribs and Brisket and was brought... More

quality of the food is quite good but the taste of just about everything was bland, no kick. You shouldn't have to rely on spicy sauces to give your bbq character. The pulled pork is excellent in terms of quality and cooking but again - bland. the ribs were probably the best on the menu.

We drove from Westchester NY to Fairfield CT for some good BBQ. The food was actually pretty good. We don't have much around to compare it to so we enjoyed it. The ribs were very good. The St Louis ribs far better than the baby back ribs. These ribs are made with a rub so no sauce here, You have... More

I love BBQ and its a shame there aren't too may good places in town . Pulled pork is good but for what this place is , it just isn't worth the money ( staff could be friendlier too)

Wilson's has a very cool location in downtown Fairfield. Walking in the door the place has the feel of a down home BBQ spot. I will never say this is a bad spot because I would eat here any day of the week, the problem is I would say that about most any BBQ place. Everything is just average, service,... More

Very good across the board -- a bit of Texas, Carolina and midwest. Sides are equally good -- collard greens, beans, cornbread, mac/cheese. Had Brisket, nice tender and good crust and smoke to it. Pulled pork was white, chunky, moist. Good BBQ sauces to accompany the food to. Could easily eat it with none, but the vinegar-based was great on... More

I have been to Wilson's about five times. On the first occasion the owner was there and the service was fine. the food has been consistently decent. Every other time the service has been lackluster. Wrong orders, slow, and indifferent responses from staff all served to lessen the dining experience. I liked the opportunity to have take-out but I did not... More

I can't believe the owner is so arrogant and his food is probably the worst BBQ I have had in a long, long time, Maybe ever. Picked up some Brisket (which was fine I guess) and some Baby Backs and Pulled pork. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Literally the DRIEST most TASTELESS pork and ribs I have ever had. The guy... More

We saw it on DDD,and tried it a few years back,it was awful. Went again since friends from out of town wanted to try it. It was very expensive, chicken and ribs were dry, pulled pork was mush. we all agreed as do every friend I have in Fairfield that its just not good. I think he microwaves everything. Save your money...
