My review is for the Pepe's in the Mohegan Sun Casino. For many years I haerd how good Pepe's of New Haven was really good ,if the best in the country. Last night I had some at their Mohegan Sun restaurant. I was very disappointed, I have had better pizza in numerous places. On one pizza the outside crust was... More

i visited this pepes because it always had the better pizza than the other locations but was I surprised. we went for a pizza at lunchtime and arrived early so the place was pretty empty. we ordered a large pie with half bacon and when it came out it was practically unpalatable. the dough was thick and spongy and undercooked.... It is very simple - the pizza is perfect. If you like the thin crust style, you will like this pizza.

Pepe's is doing something right! They have lines out the door on a cold Friday night in December. We've eaten here many times and you know you are going to get an old school pizza. Sometimes burned, often weirdly sliced but always delicious! The one down side is they often prioritze take out orders and sell your pie from under... More

There is little ambience, no fancy decor, just old pictures of Frank Pepe on the walls. BUT THIS is pizza heaven. Very limited menu with salads and imported Italian Peroni and domestic beer. The pies are well done, to my liking. BUT... I think the original Pepe's in New Haven (25 miles away) tops this place. Call ahead and for... More

they do pizza and do it well, hate saying it as nyc pizza snob, but pepes in ct is the best. The meat pie and the white clam are tops. The clam pie is like taking a bite of the ocean, make it a diet pie by adding bacon to it. Crust is delicious, ridiculous thin and crispy. If you... More

If you love brick oven thin crust NY style pizza with the freshest ingredients and a huge portion go here. Be aware, their large pizza can easily feed four. Even their small can feed two. I always get either a small or medium for myself as I want leftovers as it reheats well. Obviously tastes better fresh, but worth the... More

Definitely nothing special about this place and I've heard the one is Fairfield is worse than the one in New Haven. People rave about their pizza. Obviously these people never left Connecticut for pizza. If you want the best, then go to Brooklyn or the Bronx. Even Manhattan and Queens has better pizza. All they have is pizza. No real... More

Frank Pepe's Pizza in Fairfield Connecticut is still an outstanding pizzeria, in the style of the original New Haven location. There is usually a wait in a small entry vestibule, ranging from 15 to 30 minutes. I would guess that wait can be longer at busy times of the day, and perhaps shorter at other times. I have always had... More

I was told about this old fashion pizzeria. We'll it was very good. Roasted chicken pizza was very good. Their clam pizza is also very good and they shuck their own fresh clams. I am sure Frank Pepe didn't make his pizza the same way but it was good. Tradition is not the same but that's progress, right.
