Great if you like your pizza thin and crispy

Not for everyone - especially if you like thick crust and lots of options for toppings. But if you like thin brick oven baked with limited choice of toppings (their clam is the best and most exotic) then this is the place for you. Same menu and styles as original place in New Haven as well as new... read more

Is the pizza good? Yes, but is it the best I've ever had? Nope. Found the crust to be heavy however the sauce and toppings )pepperoni, spinach and broccoli) were very good.

Im a pizza fanatic. Grew up eating Colony Grill pizzas in Stamford. Pepes is Ok. I love sausage and theirs has a funny taste to it. Too bad because I do like the coal fired crust. I wont go back when their are other superior pizza places around.

Fantastic charcoal fire cooked New Haven style pizza. Thin crust, well-done to perfection. The white clam pizza is especially superb. Okay tossed salad gives the meal the semblance of

Hadn't been there for quite some time. But will not be going back anytime in the near future. Pizza has deteriorated. Tasteless skimpy on the toppings. Just not what it was. The sausage on the pizza tasted like supermarket sausage not anything of any good quality.. Very very disappointing. No wonder why there wasn't a long wait to get in.

We've had mixed results at this offshoot from the New Haven parent. Sometimes the pizza has the right amount of toppings but many other times there are plenty of gaps in cheese and toppings. Crust is good like the original. Service is so-so with obvious difficulty when near capacity. Not sure why every table doesn't get a raised stand for... More

Oh my goodness, does pizza get any better than this ? Three pizzas, all totally wonderful, consistently excellent. Really not much else to say, is there.

The dough is crispy and light - and the toppings very fresh. I really wanted the white clam pie but they were out of fresh clams and will only use fresh. My loss but the spinach pie with bacon was just as wonderful. Had to wait to be seated but once inside - worth the wait.

There's a reason this place has been around for 90 years and still has lines during busy times. The pizza is amazing, and YES, they cut it weird. If you insist on your pizza being cut in 8 perfectly equal triangles, go elsewhere. If you insist on no slightly burned edges of the pizza, go elsewhere. If you want cookie-cutter... More
