Bland seafood and a sub par parking lot make this not a great dining experience. Clearly it is time for a new Chef as it is getting pretty stale. Carb heavy as well. Shame there are not a lot of quality seafood place in Fairfield. This is clearly not one of them. Usually pretty crowded.

Craving seafood and casual dining, we stopped at Black Rock Oyster Bar & Grill on the way home from the beach at Sherwood Island. It was pretty much what we expected. While we did not partake in the raw bar, I get the feeling that this may be their claim to fame. Our entrees were good, but not mind-blowing. I... More

Been here a few times over the past couple months due to convenience. Atmosphere is ok, food is good, great oysters. Lisa the bartender could not be nicer. She's learning, but very accommodating and pleasant. But as an observer at the bar, it is clear that some of the "senior" wait staff want it run their way, and should be... More

The stuff at the Trumbull Marriott recommended this place to my wife and I. We had one of the best meals here service was great and the interior is nicely done. My wife had salmon which was awesome. I had oysters and lobster both where done to perfection. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

The oysters were fantastic. There were 4 varieties to choose from the night we dined here and we tried them all. They were fresh and cold! The smoked trout appetizer was great too. The chowder was somewhat bland. We split the tuna entree and didn't love it. Out waitress was not the friendliest either. Would go back for oysters and... More

Based on other reviews, I expected to really enjoy this place. The atmosphere and decor were very pleasant. However the food - and the service - were bad. My server seemed really busy, and walked by my table at least four times before bothering to say "I'll be with you shortly." Okay, not a big deal. She seemed stressed and... More

Nice buzz, tasty food, good service. Nothing stands out here, but the meals are always tasty. Fills up after 6 pm.

Went there to celebrate my Mom's 75th Birthday - 8 adults and 1 child. Excellent service - clams and oysters soooo fresh and sweet and icy cold - the way they're supposed to taste, Drinks also - icy cold and not stingy with the liquor. 2 thumbs up from me! Will go again!

I loved the seafood appetizer with 2 oysters (perfect size, great taste), 2 excellent clams and 3 tasty small shrimps. Sets you up well for a light entree. Seafood sandwich was good, but not spectacular. Service was OK. White Sauvignon Blanc Benziger was not bad and not too expensive. Very good espresso coffee. I will come back, but mostly for... More

My boss had taken me here on one of my trips to Stratford. I decided it was time to go back. Nice "pub feel", I had a dozen cold blue points with lemon and cocktail sauce to die for. Followed that up with a grilled sword fish steak, the size of a NY strip. It was perfect. Event enjoyed the... More
