We love this place. Everyone we ever take there loves this place. Have not ever had a bad meal here. The chef's specials are usually winners...love many things on the eclectic menu. Small but cozy space, lovely artwork! Great wait staff, have nothing negative to say about this place! Try it if you like good food!

If you are in weston, Westport, Fairfield, Reddin CT.,Martel should be your first choice pick for dinner. It would have received 5 stars , losing a star because room is quite small, tables small, gets crowded. So....aim for mid week and early( before 6) But oh! That food! Genius in kitchen. This is 5 star "Frenchified" comfort foo 5 star onion... More

This was my first visit to Martel, and I wonder what made me wait so long! I had been to Marty Levine's very first restaurant in this space many years ago, Breakaway, and very much enjoyed the food there. I had read the glowing reviews of Martel in the Connecticut Post restaurant reviews; however, my Better Half and I remained... More

What a disappointment! Took forever to be seated even though tables were open. Took forever to get waited on and to get our food. Food was mediocre at best. Lobster sandwich tasted stale and rubbery. Seasonings were awful. Prices way too high for quality of food and service.

We recently broke up an 11-hour drive from New Hampshire to Washington DC with brunch at Martel. The décor and food were ideal. The artwork created an informal but stylish atmosphere. My omelet was hot and flavorful. The beignets and cappuccino were delicious. The staff was attentive and our party of five talking heads was able to converse freely with... More

This restaurant has had many different iterations over the year but the current one, Martel, is the best by far! The steamed clams are not to be missed, with the best broth I've ever had.. The fish and meat dishes are great as are the unusual sandwiches like braised beef on a roll, although the lobster roll disappoints - mine... More

Good food , good service. One of our go to places in Fairfield. The romaine salad with warm potatoes and Horseradish dressing is a real treat . Also great if you just want to have a burger

This is an intimate place, but you are not on top of each other. Can get a bit noisy, though when it is busy. Solid menu of Bistro food with French, American, and Italian but not over-reaching. Good values and consistent, which is what I seek in a place like this. Quite a lively bar scene too.

I visited Martel on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I had the romaine salad which was excellent and something that I have never seen elsewhere. It is a variation on the common iceberg wedge but is much better and has a horseradish cream dressing that is exceptional. I had the fish special... More

We've visited Martel several times and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, even the house wines are great. The only negative I can think of is that the place is on the small size and it's very popular so it tends to get crowsed
