Great Dinner and Drinks

Excellent dinner, with a few choices each among seafood, beef and chicken. Good salads and apps. Wine list is good, but on the pricey side. Food was prepared very well, with a nice presentation. Only negative: Very noisy venue; difficult to carry on a conversation.

Had a occasion of a Christening to eat at this small but fabulous restaurant. The bill of fare was done in great taste. The appetizer selection was at least 12 to choose from. I chose the veal meatballs. It was presented in a meat sauce and quite delicious. The main coarse was chosen very well by my Nephew and Niece.... More

We have wanted to try 55 for some time now, same owners as Cava in New Canaan, despite some of the negative reviews on TA we decided to finally try it and 55 did not disappoint, named 55 for, I believe the address but coincidentally the latitude and longitude for Chile, Spain and a other great wine regions, we had... Celebration of family. Veal ravioli tasty and saucy. Great pickle and olive on stick with the scrumptious 55 burger. Servers were attentive and prompt. Quite lovely. Right by the train stop. Outdoor patio is intimate and friendly.

I recently had my bridal shower here, and although I was not involved in the planning as much, I can say that the event went off without a hitch. The main floor was perfect for a group of about 35 people. The staff helped with set up, the service was attentive, the menu vast and the food delicious. I heard... More

Don't get me wrong. 55 Degrees offers great food and fine wine. But the part I like best is the old diner known as Larry's, which was formerly on Main Street, subsequently moved to the side street, where this restaurant was built and attached behind it. Most folks may prefer to eat in the modern part, with vaulted ceilings. For... More

Hey for those reading this review just so you know we're still waiting on our food. One hour ,one hour impossible!!! Ordered a great bottle of wine (jordan chardonnay ), which we drank before our entrees arrived, such a waste of time and money. If they go out of business , which they should, nobody will miss them. And I... More

Had dinner here as a family with out young son. Excellent atmosphere, good service, and a nice varied and reasonably priced menu. We went on a Sunday night when they had half priced wine bottles. Got an excellent bottle to accompany our meal. Highly recommend this place.

This last trip was just for dessert and a glass of wine. They have a great wine list and their molten lava cake is by far the best I have ever had. We have eaten dinner here before going to Fairfield Theater Company Stage One shows and keep going back. Great food, service and atmosphere.

A nice treat to eat downtown at a classy, Italian restaurant. The ravioli was exceptional and The tomato sauce was one of the best ever eaten! From appetizers to desserts, a great Meal eaten in a pretty setting.
