Amazing breakfasts!

We come to Essex every year by boat and Marley's never disappoints! I had Norwegian poached eggs the first day we were there. They were the most perfectly shaped poached eggs I've ever seen but beyond that they were delicious! The second day I had Banana Toast which was Jamaican French toast topped... read more

We had wanted to try Marleys for awhile and finally made it. Well worth the wait! Quaint little place that you get to by boat...total time of the boat trip is literally 30 seconds. The marina is so pretty and we loved the outdoor seating at Marleys. We got the coconut French toast, fruit, eggs with homefries and bacon and... More

What a wonderful little restaurant. I had the bagel with cream cheese, Salmon, capers and red onion. Everything was so fresh and toasted beautifully. My husband had eggs, bacon and the best home fries I have tasted in a long time. A beautiful spot outside with Island music playing. Our waiter Patrick was great, very efficient and did his job... Don't miss this gem! A short ferry ride to the island and lunch outdoors under mismatched umbrellas, food is amazing, was visiting by boat so had the luxury of having dinner and lunch here. Dinner was three soft shell crabs that were amazing rice and a salad, The gem of the night however was the lobster bisque. Large pieces of... More

I loved it there! The best in Essex. I loved the way the way Marley's looked with all of the beautiful flowers and plants. The food is out of this world. The lobster bisque is my favorite! The servers are vary attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The view is spectacular and feel as if I have taken a trip... More

This is the first summer that I have visited the area and I have tried plenty of the other restaurants in Essex while good I feel as if Marley's has a little something extra. You go over on a little quaint ferry which is great, it's like a little ride before and after the meal. When we walked on to... More

We parked the car, boarded the ferry, and crossed the narrow channel to the island where Marley's sits. The brightly-colored decor and reggae music set the tone for a leisurely lunch by the water. The food was terrific (I had a Marley's Burger and homemade potato salad) and the service was quick and pleasant. I'm looking forward to going back... More

You have to take a very long ferry ride to get to this restaurant, about 30 seconds. Do yourself a favor and order the tuna melt. It is real tuna and the best I've ever tasted. Skip the coleslaw. Service was great and the setting is lovely. Would absolutely return.

My boyfriend and I heard about Marleys and really wanted to see what it was all about. We decided to go this weekend ( 4th of July). We were pleasantly surprised by this little quirky island themed restaurant in Essex. As soon as we arrived we could tell this place is very popular because it was slammed!! Every table was... More

We loved stopping at Marley's in Essex for lunch. Always good service and good food. But not this year. We waited over 30 minutes for a table. What was annoying about that was the there was another couple (2) who were seated by the hostess at a table for 4....but when it came to us (we were next), the hostess... More
