Delightful spot on a delightful day! And getting there is half the fun! Must be the world's shortest ferry ride. Food = good.....no raves.

One of the best things about Marley's is the setting. It is absolutely picture perfect, and the 1 minute ferry shuttle just adds to the ambiance. It's a family friendly, dog friendly place, where tables are out on a deck, or on the lawn. On top of the perfect setting, the food and the coffee are really good too.

Nine of eleven appetizers were warm, at best to include lobster bisque, clam chowder, duck wings. Dinners - cold, cold, cold. Lobster ravioli ($27) was cold, as was the pork tenderloin and the prime rib dinners. Waitress was more interested in her large family and child at the next table. Never asked how everything was; had to be flagged down... More

Family owned and operated and deeply caring about the quality of their food and the inventing of fun and interesting preparations it is a really find and the experience of sitting on the lawn and looking at the boats and water is... Very casual, nice vibe. Marleys's is part of an Island Marina in Essex, Ct. You have to take a lunch across to get to it. That only adds to the adventure as far as I'm concerned. The food is good, they aren't trying to be anything other than what they are. Seasonal, so go before the end of Fall.

What a fun place this is for dinner. A VERY short boat ride takes you to the island where the café is located. It almost feels like vacation time! The menu is limited but the service is excellent in this family owned business. The homemade biscuits are a delight. Dinner reservations are a must. No alcohol is served but you... More

This is a very chill place. It is very relaxing; it can take awhile to get a table and then to order and get your food, but that is part of the great experience. So, if you go, bear that in mind! I love this restaurant. Getting there on the little boat is fun. We take our dog. We just... More

A friend suggested I try this restaurant, I'm glad they did. Note however that what others have said about waiting long etc. is true ..But we were in no rush. I thought the wait staff were pleasant, the food was good and expense so bring your folding money. The rest rooms were not kept up and could of used some... More

We love Marley's. I take friends there all the time. The food is wonderful and the boat rid (all of 60 seconds) gives you that island vacation vibe. Claudia does a fantastic job for special occasions. Had my daughter's bridal shower there with a Hawaiian theme. It was perfect!
