We loved stopping at Marley's in Essex for lunch. Always good service and good food. But not this year. We waited over 30 minutes for a table. What was annoying about that was the there was another couple (2) who were seated by the hostess at a table for 4....but when it came to us (we were next), the hostess... More

Great little place! They are most definitely on island time! Great food. My daughter had a double cheeseburger that she loved. I had a lobster bisque and a crab cake sandwich that was great. Hope to visit again in the future!

Relaxed, laid back and fresh. Wonderful lobster bisque. Fish tacos were well done and nicely presented. Would recommend and return!

Just a little gem of a restaurant. A true find on a beautiful day to sit outside on the water in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy good food.

We hit Marleys once a year usually and always say the same thing, "why don't we do this more often"!!! One of the more unique dining experiences along the Connecticut River. The food is always great. It's BYOB so it ends up being a great value. Something about taking the little ferry over to the island makes you feel like... More

They had the best food and travelling there by short ferry was fun. The owners are friendly, accommodating . Just an adorable adventure

You have to take an extremely short (less than a minute) boat ride to get to this restaurant. Once there it is a cute little place run by extremely friendly people. The food was unique and delicious. My wife and I are very hard to please and this place is definitely on our must return list. We had breakfast and... More

We love to go to Marley's when we are not away on our boat. The breakfasts as always great with the best coffee. We recently had dinner there. The soft shell crabs were outstanding as was the lamb shank. The owners are always friendly and welcoming. The setting is ideal. You feel that you have gotten away somewhere exotic even... More

If you want to think you are in the Bahamas, or Miami, this is the place. We tried Marleys for breakfast last week and it was like being 2,000 miles south!! First you need to take the ferry which is very short to get on the island, but the setting is great. People are able to take there dogs to... More
