They had the best food and travelling there by short ferry was fun. The owners are friendly, accommodating . Just an adorable adventure

You have to take an extremely short (less than a minute) boat ride to get to this restaurant. Once there it is a cute little place run by extremely friendly people. The food was unique and delicious. My wife and I are very hard to please and this place is definitely on our must return list. We had breakfast and... More

We love to go to Marley's when we are not away on our boat. The breakfasts as always great with the best coffee. We recently had dinner there. The soft shell crabs were outstanding as was the lamb shank. The owners are always friendly and welcoming. The setting is ideal. You feel that you have gotten away somewhere exotic even... More

If you want to think you are in the Bahamas, or Miami, this is the place. We tried Marleys for breakfast last week and it was like being 2,000 miles south!! First you need to take the ferry which is very short to get on the island, but the setting is great. People are able to take there dogs to... More

Loved taking the boat over to Marleys. Great atmosphere, great view, great veggie wrap and fish tacos. Wish we knew to bring wine though! Will definitely return next time we're in Essex.

Essex Island is a wonder family marina. I have been going since I was a child and now take my children at least once a year. Marleys has great meals and the best service one could ask for.

So happy we finally made it here! We've been to Essex many times and always passed by the sign at the marina for Marley's, but never went. Finally decided to go and found out you need reservations. So fun to take the one-minute ferry ride over (note: 6 passenger limit). Kinda sets the whole mood of going to an actual... More

We were out looking for a place to eat when we spotted the sign on the building. We did not realize that we had to take a ferry to get to it (2-3 min ride, tops). Not much inside (50 diner ish) but lovely outside with the breeze and the boats. The food was very good, service a little slow... More

We absolutely love this charming little island restaurant in Essex. From the boat ride to get there, to the great views of the water and the boats in the marina, to the wonderful food, what's not to like? We are always greeted warmly, the service is friendly and efficient, and dining at a leisurely pace is encouraged. There is truly... More
