Collins is our family favorite to get ice cream -- yes, even over UCONNs Dairy Bar! This used to be a hidden gem but their creamery has become known through word of mouth. They only accept cash and are only open in the summer months but what a treat! They recently expanded by adding tables, some with umbrellas which makes... More

The ice cream is great here in the quiet corner of town. Up on the hill it always seems at least 10 degrees cooler than anywhere else in town. Pleasant spot for a cold treat. A little on the pricier side.

Favorite place to go in the area for ice cream. Black cherry is my favorite, so fresh, so delicious! Fun place to go with friends and good for kids.

Just to let you know that this is not a restaurant, it is just for ice cream and shakes. They make the ice cream on the premises and it is totally awesome. They only have outdoor seating as this is located on a farm. They are not open year round as they only sell ice cream. My wife and I... More

With over 250 restaurants in town, there are only a few off the "strip." The creamery is way off, as it is located at the Collins dairy farm! Their Ice Cream is thick, cold and awesome! Order you treat, sit at the outdoor picnic tables, look around at the cows, fields and the surrounding country side. Relax, there's no rush... More

Ok I have to admit I did panic when read the menu and didn't "Red Velvet" ice cream listed, but I know Collins and I trust that the replacement will be just as good. The White Chocolate ice cream is the best.Collins pulls through again.

Went with hubby - he was delighted with his sundae, and I enjoyed the new ginger ice cream! Their portions are so big and flavorful! Will be back again, but will sit in the car again (just like everyone else), because the flies were too much! Must've been a fresh swarm!

Toasted Almond is what I always recommend to people, since it's not a common flavor at ice cream places. It's more like Italian cookies and amaretto than the actual nut. In the fall, Indian Pudding can't be beat if you like molasses flavor. Bring a cooler--you'll want to have Collins Ice Cream on hand at home! :)
