Very nice

I used to come here often as a teenager after a day at the beach. I still enjoy coming here. They have everything from salads and fried seafood to steak and ice cream. Parking stinks but otherwise love it!

I have been to the Sandpiper several times over the years, and have never been disappointed. Now with a refreshed look after severe storm damage, the venue is even nicer. The fried seafood is always outstanding, and there is plenty of it. The only down side is it is far too far from home!

A lot of the seafood tasted like iodine, and my steak was extremely tough and full of nerves, no taste. The waitress was mediocre.

It was the perfect summer night for outdoor dining so after discussing where we could go, it was decided that dinner would be at the Sandpiper. It wasn't a surprise that we had a half hour wait - their location is right by the water so we took advantage of the warm breeze as the sun went down. I was... More

Avoid the Sandpiper. First and last visit. Raw oysters had sand and grit. Salad was beyond boring. Steamed lobster was impenetrable, hard as a brick. Asked waiter to open and the inevitable happened. It shot across the room. Lobster arrived grubby and stained my pants. Wine spritzer had no ice and not much spritz. Has to request a fork. Just... More

The Sandpiper seems to be a very popular restaurant. After visiting two weeks ago I can only conclude that people are willing to forgo quality to be across from the beach. My expectations were not very high since this is a very casual beach spot. However, the service was very slow, the clam chowder awful, the fried calamari greasy and... More

Our food was excellent, huge portions. I ordered a side dish of clam strips, no fries, no coleslaw and could not finish them. I would have liked a smaller portion, and a little smaller price. $14.95 for a side of clam strips, I thought was a little high. Nicely decorated place, but noise level very high.

... beyond what I expected! ... the service was helpful and efficient ... the menu was full of great seafood dishes and well prepared ... I had my favorite Zuppa di Pesce and it was perfect!!! (no rubber squid!) ... portions were a bit over the top but then you are encouraged to take home an encore ...

Dined here Sunday- party of six. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating! The owner came out to move his car so we could park! I had my fav- whole belly clams. they were sweet and tender. the portions were very good size as well. Nice atmosphere - we sat in covered "porch" with view of the beach. Highly recommend!

Two adults on an overcast Monday after the 4th of July. We chose to eat indoors due to the humidity. But the outside tables were well occupied. For lunch we order the lobster roll with fries and fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Both were tasty, well presented and good. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly adding to the nice...
