I always like to support local restaurants. I also like to wait a few months before I do so the owners can weed out any problems. I had a 6:30 reservation and arrived to find only 1 other table occupied. Our party of four were greeted by a nice waiter and seated immediately. We ordered 2 vodka/rocks, 1 margarita and... More

Went here during the annual fireworks in town... Fabulous food, entertainment and atmosphere! If you love a good calamari appetizer with flavor I suggest getting it here! Sauce was so mouth watering I was licking the fork !!

We live local and haven't frequented the Beechhead in many years so we gave it a try.. This is what I have to say; There weren't many customers in the restaurant but we attributed it to being a weeknight. Our waiter was extremely attentive and polite.. We were served water in tiny glasses and it was as warm as bath... More

I have been going to the Beachhead since I was a kid because it is within walking distance of my parents. In the last 10 years or more the service and food have been HORRIBLE. It was expensive, the waitstaff was rude, the owners were awful. They now have new owners or management or something and it is truly a... More

We went there as two couples as neither had been there in over 25 years. We both remembered the good food, the crowds in attendance, and the reasonable prices. Times have changed. The food was rated poor by one, ok by two, and good by one. There were no crowds on a Wednesday night. There were only three other booths... More

We went to dinner on a Friday night when there was an Italian singer there. Our party of 4 arrived at 5:30 and after 30 minutes at the bar we decided to sit in the dining room and orderi our food. We were the first orders of the evening as there was noone in the dining room at that time.... More

Went for the 1st time to the Beachhead since it reopened after the devastating storm last year. It looks bright and cheery and the new bar is a winner. Food was good. Pane cote was very tasty as well as the clams casino. Waiter was a little short with us sometimes but it didn't ruin our great time as we... More

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Small, clean, friendly place on the tidal pond in East Haven, CT. Tables outside on the patio too. Food and service was very good. Prices were moderate, we had one of those Living Social deals to use. Would definitely go again if we were in the neighborhood.

I wrote the glowing review above, about a Sunday night dinner here. It was flawless, fresh, etc. Sadly, we went back a few weeks later, for the same deal on a Wednesday night. It was only OK. I ordered the same entree, as I had loved it so, the first time: Clams in a red linguine sauce. I am something... More
