I went to this place on a whim. Basically, all they offer is beef or chicken soup. There are usually two soups per day. If you want spring rolls, go during the week. I had beef noodle soup. Everyone gets a dish of sprouts, some basil, lime wedges and chili pepper. Grandmom and uncle were untangling dried noodles at the... More

I've been going to Pho 501 for years now and have always loved their food :) Take out was always the best option during lunch, but now that they have expanded (and doubled in size!), you can almost always find a place to sit. Completely worth the wait! :)

My companion and I drive from Plainville up to East Hartford once every other week on average to eat at Pho 501. We pass pho places on Route 4 in Farmington and Pho Boston to get there, and that is not an error. First, it's true that it used to often be crowded and there would sometimes be a wait... More

I have been to Pho 501 twice. Once a long time ago before they opened the other room to the right. I just went recently with a co-worker for lunch. She had never had Pho before. We decided to go a bit early not to have to deal with lunch traffic. We arrived at 11:45 and the place was already... More

I was not feeling well so he prepared a light soup specially for me since all the ingredients are fresh cook on the premises .... More

Delicate and delicious. Great spring rolls, too. The only think is that the place is so small. Like only seating for 20 tops. Get the before or after lunch as the employees of Pratt and Whitney fill this place up. Lines will be out the door.

Pho fanatics in Connecticut have extremely limited options. So when I drove by this restaurant, I could not resist the temptation to stop one Saturday afternoon. Pho appears to be the only main dish on the menu but they do it well. The beef pho broth was flavorful and served with fresh lime, spearmint and bean sprouts. We had to... More
