Never disappointed

Stopped here again and had cold noodle soup special. Came with few slices of kalbi which was delicious. Soup was enough to share. Also had tang soo yuk (sweet and sour pork). Portion was huge, again plenty to share. Great value!

Stopped here for dinner and not disappointed. Tried Mulnangmeon (buckwheat noodle soup in ice cold broth). Very refreshing! Battered shrimp was very good but a bit too spicy for my taste. Whenever we come, they know that I rinse my kimchee, so bring dish of ice water! That is excellent service! Try the majolica (sparkling rice wine), rare to find... More

We have been to this restaurant many times & never disappointed. Ban cham (Side dishes) are fresh, and authentic, as I was told by an expert of Korean cuisine. dumplings are excellent and soups flavorful. Bib-Im-bap made with fresh ingredients. Some of the Koreanized Chinese foods are almost as good as those found in Flushing, NY or Los Angeles. Service... More

This is one of my two favorite restaurants, the other being Italian. We have dined there well over 20 times. Each time we are treated as family. I have brought family and friends and will continue to do so.

I ate at Goong with some friends, including a Korean one. It was my first time eating Korean food and I liked it. There is a variety of choice between meat and seafood dishes and sidedishes/vegetable dishes are delicious. The main course I chose, fried rice with vegetables, was a bit dry and bland for my taste as it basically... More

If you are craving Korean, Korean version of Chinese dishes, this can be one choice this area. This is not high quality but fairly well prepared. Considering it is Asian cuisine, not very salty and we loved it for that.

I am from the Dallas Fort Worth area, and being a Korean, it is had for me to find a good place to eat some Korean Food when I have to travel for my work. I usually eat alone, but they never cheat me on ban-chan, unilke other K-resturants. I have visited several times, and have been impressed with there... More

Goong is off to the side of an almost vacant strip mall but it is not to be missed. My mom and I decided to try this place because the korean restaurant in Hartford was not very good. I am so glad we decided to try this place. They have yaki mandoo which is generally harder to find than du... More

I have never eaten authentic Korean food before, but the food and service was incredible. After just one visit I feel like I have traveled to Korea. The food was so flavorful that I can't wait to go back and the service was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The manager and waitress both came to me to... More

After living in Korea for 2 years we are always trying to find great Korean food, the kind that makes you forget you are in the states. We found that at Goong in E. Hartford. The first time we visited it was just myself, my husband and our 14 year old son and we were blown away. The 2nd time... More
