French

Very good, but expensive. Only open limited hours , but carefully prepared authentic French cuisine with speciality Entrees such as venison and frog legs

We go here for those special occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, always special and never leaves you with that "oh I had too much rich food" feeling. The staff is professional. The venue is very pretty as well. You won't regret going there.

Ondine has been here a long time. It used to be only pre fixe but a few years ago also added an ala carte menu. It is the best place in Danbury to go for a special treat. My only minor complaint is that the chef no longer makes his great consommé. Hopefully it will return. The menu is French/Continental... More

Years ago we stopped going out to nice restaurants on Valentine's Day since we always felt ripped off. Luckily a few years ago we started going to Ondine. What a gem!! A bit kitschy on the inside - and a pink building?? But ignore all that and go! I love their Dover Sole. It is probably the most expensive thing... More

I haven't been to Ondine for a few years but returned last week for a dinner out without the children. The food and service were both very good.

This used to be a good French restaurant. No longer! Without going through the disappointing details the classic French duck was a dining insult. Chicken and Monk fish were both overdone and uninspired. All this at NYC prices. We will not be going back.

On a Sunday afternoon this is the place to go for a gourmet dinner. The food and atmosphere are perfect. The service was excellent.

We hadn't been to Ondine's for many years. Long ago when we were newlyweds we had used a Dining Out guide to try them out and so this was our return trip when we decided to try out their Sunday Early Dinner. The price was fixed at 42.00/pp and we ordered a bottle of wine to go with our Lunch/Dinner.... More

This establishment has been hit or miss of late. The food is rather consistent in quality, usually quite good but no longer fantastic. Menu doesn't change much, and evidently, the chef isn't interested in offering evening or seasonal specials. Decor is dated....very dated....as in it hasn't changed at all in 20 years. Service is slower than it needs to be;... More
