My visit has been a couple years ago when they first opened. I went with 2 friends and we all had fish (different types). All dishes were dry. Drinks are great there, the bar is nicely stocked. If you go for "Happy Hour" (not sure they have it but you get the idea), you should be fine. I have not... More

I agree this place seems to be more of a business gathering type restaurant. As I would not go on my own. The salmon was good but nothing to rave about.

I've gone to Max 40 several times for work dinners. The food is consistently excellent and it's a great business atmosphere. The place is very modern and a tiny bit stodgy so it's perfect for more formal business gatherings while for more informal gatherings, I'd pick other places in the area.

I've been coming here for about three years. This is the first review I've written. I like to try new places but my failsafe or one of my falesafw restaurants is Max 40. You can always count on great atmosphere, Music, Elegance, great food....

I was in town for business and a few people recommended this restaurant but stated it's a hit or miss. I decided to try it. I was early for dinner and the service was very slow. I waited at least 20 minutes before I was asked for my order. I ordered the salmon, veggies, and salad. The salmon needed more... More

Max 40 is my go-to restaurant in town for a business lunch, dinner, night out when I don't feel like cooking or Saturday night with friends. The menu is very diverse - which is normally concerning to me because I am a firm believer that restaurants can't do everything great - but they seem to have figured it out. The... More

Stopped in here for a drink or two after shopping. Really nice atmosphere and the drinks were good, but went to the ladies room and had to hold my nose. The smell was TERRIBLE. Talk to the bar tender and they apparently have some sort of sewerage problem that they have been dealing with for over a year. Smell is... More

Had a business dinner here the other night... It was average and like some else had mentioned "Nice looking but lacks execution". We first started with drinks at the bar while waiting for our host and the "new" server had difficulty with a Ketel Vodka and tonic order (maybe she could not hear b/c of noise there), bottled beer was... My teenage son graciously gave me a gift card for my birthday, so we were anxious to try it. We opted out of appetizers, not seeing anything that was really tempting. The wine list was OK. For a Friday night at 7pm, there weren't many folks there, but it did fill in a little as the evening went on. The... More

Nice reception (although a dirty paper menu turns me off- it's paper not parchment! Go print a thousand new ones and throw the others away) Music was a little too loud and bass thumpy. There are a couple of TV's but don't think sports bar. Just something to do if you don't like your date and still have to get... More
