When ever I'm back in the US (Connecticut), there chicken parm grinder with extra cheese is on my list of foods I have to eat. I've never had anything else from the menu so I can only speak on this sandwich. The roll is fresh and lightly toasted, chicken and cheese are fresh and the sauce is tasty. They don't... More

Augies #1 is really number one in cheap prices, number one in portion sizes, number one in overweight diners, number one in wine quality (100 being the best wine). The bad part is that it is also number one in serving THE WORST FOOD IN DANBURY! If stale bread, vegetable oil (that they peddle as olive oil) , "sawdust like"... More

Dinner for two including a bottle of wine for $33 is hard to beat !.... especially when you get a salad starter thrown in & a choice of mains all of which are authentic Italian good quality fare. I would go back in a heartbeat. We were 6 & all of us enjoyed our meals. Not the place to go... More

My husband and I spent a long day traveling and just checked into a hotel room. We decided all we wanted to do that night was to order a pizza and chill out in the room. I checked trip advisor for reviews and saw that Augie's scored well so I ordered a carry out pizza. When we arrived we noticed... More

I have lived in Danbury for 12 years and always heard rave reviews from a myriad of people- so, of course, I had to check it ou for myself. It was a Sunday night, fairly steady- The staff was attentive, almost too attentive, as if they were overstaffed or something. The food was good (pasta fra diablo) not as phenomal... More

This is the only perk of living in Danbury to be honest. The best lasagna you'll possibly ever have (and yes i've had numerous lasagnas from various restaurants). I've had $5 lasagnas to $25 ones and nothing tops what you'll have at Augie's. Their pizza is good but nothing incredible, if you come here, make sure you get the pastas,... More

You can always count on a good meal for reasonable price at augies. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu whether it's pizza or shrimp parmesan. The fried calamari is very good as is the eggplant. Also grace for a weekday night pizza. This is not a New York City restaurant but it is one of the best in... More

The point of this review is to keep searching for a place that is outstanding. We eat at Augie's last night because it was rated the #1 in Italian Restaurant in Danbury. There are lots of Italian restaurants in the area. The food and service were good. The portions are large, tasty and reasonably priced for typical neighborhood restaurant, $50... More

Planned a meal here today because it was centrally located for family and because of the Trip Advisor reviews. Very pleased! Old school homemade dishes, red sauce style. Very good service, we were not rushed, incredibly reasonable prices. Also GREAT acoustics, not noisy at all. My son especially liked the Shrimp Parmesan, and I had Pasta with Mushroom Sauce and...
