Excellent Food / Bohemian Vibe

I loved eating at the Sesame Seed. It a really nice vibe- a little hippy, definitely fun. It made me feel like we were in Vermont at an offbeat spot. Lots of vegetarian options, but we both settled on the Vegetarian Combination Platter. It was outstanding, really fresh and well prepared. We... read more

I have patroned this restaurant many times and found the service to be on the slower side but attributed it to the chill vibe and laid back atmosphere. This past visit however it was if we were borderline neglected. I could see if it was busy or acknowledging that we were forgotten about but 10 minutes just to take our... More

Sitting here right now waiting for my check for half an hour and there's only 3 tables of people. Rude indifferent innatentive service that does not care at all. You say "thank you" for something they don't say anything. Last time I was here a kid just said "no worries" to everything even when it made no sense to say... More

Great time with girl friend and her 9month old baby for lunch this past week at Sesame Seed in Danbury,Ct. Hard for me to eat out most places because I am g free for health reasons and Vegan for health and ethical reasons. My daughter who is vegan had been here and raved so I knew I must give it... More

I had no idea what I wanted to eat - so many exciting looking dishes to choose from. I was expertly guided to a salmon dish which was beautifully presented and expertly prepared. The salad was unusually good, too. I'd go there for that alone. I don't normally have dessert, but everything else was so good that I felt the... More

Went to help celebrate a birthday and that was the chosen restaurant. Salad was great, hummus was excellent, main meal was to, to good. But the flackey pastry dessert with ricotta was one of the most wonderful mouth experiences I have had in a long time.

It actually troubles me to write this review, because there is so much about Sesame Seed to like. Much of what is good is noted in other reviews here. I have been here roughly 20 times over the last 20 years. We used them to cater our child's christening. What was always great was the food. Over time, that became... More

Delicious food in a variety of dishes. Lots of Mediterranean fare. Definitely get the appetizer variety plate: couscous, hummous, babaganoush, etc. Atmosphere is upscale organic restaurant. They also have fish and some meat dishes.

We've been going to Sesame Seed for years. Their hummus is the best, along with the salad. Love their homemade soups and lunch specials--many veggie entrees. We often get takeout and eat it for lunch during the week.

Four of us dined at Sesame Seed Restaurant on a Monday in late October. We arrived at the restaurant at about 6:30 PM. We were promptly seated in the quaint/rustic/funky dining room. Only two or three other tables were occupied. The menu offers a very extensive set of dinner options, many more than one might expect from a restaurant of... More
