not so sure

We've been to Koo twice for sushi. The first time we were really impressed, we had some great rolls and our sushi tasted fresh and well prepared. The second time we both noticed some of the sashimi felt frozen/not thawed. Ew. We did enjoy the rolls again.

Had a $40 dollar gift certificate to Koo's (was a present) the restaurant would not honor it, while we were arguing about our certificate another costumer was having the same problem. We have eaten here before and the food is ok, not a good value though. Our rating reflects our treatment at the front desk, GO SOME PLACE ELSE!!! We... More

We ate at the Hibachi and enjoyed the usually entertainment that goes with that experience. Food was prepared well, scallops were very good, but the sirloin was tasteless. They need to find better cuts of meat, for the limited amount of food the they give you (typical of Japanese cuisine) they shouldn't skimp on the quality. Bar scene looked pretty... More

Sitting at the Hibachi Grill is the way to go. Get to meet people, the chef throws food in your mouth, and also Sake. Food was good, despite being a touch on the pricey side. The only thing missing to make this an excellent place is some more culture. If the chef was able to tell you how to mix... More

Food was very good to excellent. However the pan seared scallops were toward the cold side. The service was extremely slow. The server brought our soup but had to run back for the spoons and brought back a teaspoon, had to wait to flag server to get a bigger spoon. Should use the type spoons for soups that other Asian... I've been to Koo about five times since it first opened a few months ago. I have only ordered sushi and sashimi and appetizers and they have always been excellent. The fish is the freshest of any of the area japanese restaurants and there is a great mix of classic and creative rolls - the Koo Special Roll is amazing.... More
