Went the other night for my daughter's birthday, as Koo is her favorite restaurant. It was early, so the four of us were the only ones at the table. Started with the usual, friendly server for our order. The chef then comes out. To me, he seemed a bit rushed, uninterested and very scripted, doing all the little "cute" things... More

My family and my best friends family go out to dinner every Wednesday night, and Koo is one of our favorite places, and we always get Hibachi! Service is always excellent, the food delicious and flavorful, and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. As frequent visitors, we have come to love the loud and boisterous atmosphere that we bring to... More

When I'm in Connecticut, this use to be my go to week day sushi fix, I recently went back after a few months abroad and was disappointed in the quality and the increase of price. I will say I went again later on in the week and had hibachi and was pleased. I wouldn't completely knock this place off my... More

Our first trip to Koo will be our last. We hoped to catch up with friends over a good meal. Didn't happen. To start the hostess had no idea where she was suppose to seat us so we were shuttled back and forth. The space were we were seated was quite noisy and cold due to a draft from the... More

I used to work at the original Japanese Steakhouse Benihana for 3 years back in the 1980's .It used to be the only Hibachi Tappenyaki restaurant around back then. Now these restaurants vary from great to not good at all. Koo wasnt good at all. The soup was very bland and the sushi tasted like it came out of wal-mart Great... More

What it lacks in atmosphere and upkeep it unfortunately doesn't make up for in the quality of the food. Below average sushi inelegantly presented. Really, get some sushi from you local grocery store, go home and sit in the shabbiest chair you own while watching Honey Boo Boo and your meal will surpass Koo's in quality and ambience. Before our... More

The attitude from the manager was unacceptable. Very unfriendly and extremely nasty. The food was fair and the portions were small. NEVER again.

Although we always enjoy the food at Koo, we find it very strange that they restrict where you can use Groupon certificates, Restaurant.com certificates, etc. A lot of times we just want to watch a sports game at the bar but aren't allowed to use certificates there so we have to eat elsewhere. Service can either be really good or... More

Love the sushi. Very fresh and the wait staff is suburb. The cocktails are very good. We always get a free appetizer when we sit at the sushi bar
