Lived in town for years, Good quality sushi, conveniently located in town right off the highway, great service with good drinks.

Chose the restaurant because it was convenient to where we were staying. Located in a strip mall but the décor is nice and the staff very pleasant and responsive to our needs. The sushi was okay but taste didn't match the exquisite presentation. A bit pricey for what we got. They did do the hibachi table for only two customers,... More

I just got down from a full days work and had an appetizer at the Courtyard but was in Japan a couple weeks ago so had the yen - no pun intended - for Japanese food. Well I was treated with great expected courtesy to the table. I ordered on of my favorite Japanese beer Sapporo - and ordered the... More

We often vist OYAMA. Many times we've met with friends and family here, and all of them have raved about the food and ambiance. We have been going to OYAMA for several years, we've never encountered a bad meal or experience. The staff is very professional, and courteous. The chefs are a blast at the hibachi tables. If you haven't... More

Which means: mediocre [at best] service and edible but nothing more food. I think it must be an unwritten law that Asian restaurants have abrupt barely-do-the-basics servers. This place followshte bill - even pushes it. I had the seafood skewer - which was ok, but at $26 over priced for the quality of the food. My colleagues dishes looked about... More

Staying at a local hotel for a conference, the group of 14 I was with was seated quickly at one of the three hibachi tables,so we were al encouraged. We sat and waited, however, for over 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drink orders. If water was your beverage order, it was an additional 5 minutes to... More

I would not go here again. I went here with a friend for lunch and we were so disappointed that we weren't able to choose our own rolls but had to settle for whatever the chef wanted to give us. The place is overpriced for sushi when there are places in Middletown and Rocky Hill that have better food. If... More

We enjoyed our hibachi meal. These places are usually entertaining, but this one was really good. The service was good, as was the food.

While not the best Habachi Resturant we've been too, it is far from the worst. Being just one town over from home it's convienent and most nights seating isn't a problem with never more than a 15 minute wait even on a Saturday. The drinks are pretty good, we stick to the Mai Tai's and they're consistent. The food is... More
