all fried everything...

Serving up comfort food for over 20 years (originally as a Garden Catering location), Joe and company have been a staple breakfast and lunch spot in the community. There isn't much room and more often than not when I come in there is a line, but worth the wait for the assortment of fried offerings... read more

Everyone in town knows about Chicken Joe's, and we love the food. What most people don't know is that the owner is a great guy who gives back to the community. He's always there for civic fundraisers.

It may look like a hole in the wall, but they turn out the best chicken in the state. The surprise is that they also make fantastic pizza.

Grab your heart medication and the Metamucil and go satisfy that craving. Excellent, real chicken nuggets made tasty with a deep fryer. Don't piss off the help by asking for something stupid, they're in a hurry and busy collecting all that money. Kinda like the food equivalent of crack. Man is it good while you're eating it! But eat it... More

So unhealthy, but this is my indulgence. The cones are from heaven and the chicken perfectly cooked. Make sure you opt for the seasoning.

I've been going to Chicken Joe's (though I still call it "Garden Catering") since high school. It's a great local spot with all the character you'd expect from such a joint - standing room only, fantastic food with unique names, everyone seems to know each other, and you're best served going with a local/regular your first time (ordering can be... I love this place. Whether it's the high school special or my favorite the godfather with mushrooms, it always has you wanting to come back for more.

This place came recommended to me by a friend of mine. The chicken was greasy and seemed to have been sitting there too long because it had the taste of being old. The potato cones were OK. Would not go back.

I like to get breakfast there; cheese omelets, home fries, bacon. Everyone in town talks about their chicken.

Absolutely terrible. Bad concept, bad ingredients, bad staff, bad food and bad experience. Avoid this chain at all cost. The only thing worse than the Cos Cob store is the New Canaan store. This is not food worth experimenting with.
