Inexpensive food + good value

Pretty great place to eat! I was traveling through Clinton, and decided to stop for a bite to eat. The food is pretty solid with a lot of choice. Great bang for your buck here. Seems like a lot "locals" come here.

The Coffee Break serves very good homemade breakfasts at a very reasonable price. The decor is a little kitschy but the service is warm and friendly. Breakfast standards are all very good and aside from all the regular items they also have grits. If you don't need fancy upscale food the Coffee Break is a comforting place for breakfast.

I didn't see anything really inspiring. My western was pretty run of the mill. My wife Tippy, loved her grits and raisin toast. Probably more average than 'very good'....Busy, so locals must certainly like it. Not bad....

We love this place! The decor' and atmosphere is almost as great as their food! The service is awesome and we have never had a bad experience here. Sunday's are very busy, wait outside for 30 minutes or more busy but well worth the wait. They were the only place with a generator after the hurricane and they sold egg... More

Sept 21st, had very good breakfast today. Hot blueberry pancakes and syrup. Service was excellent, both waiter and waitress were attentive to our needs, food came out very fast. Friend had omelette special with lots of fruit. Quaint place with piped in 50s music. Very nostalgic atmosphere. Clinton locals come here for breakfast.

In addition to providing fun distraction for little ones (coloring materials, fun decor, table games), this place has family friendly staff, especially Nancy. Top off a fun experience with delicious food and coffee (order the corn beef hash) and you can't lose! Great gem in the center of Clinton.

The breakfast was plain. The flamingos that they decorate with are fun but the staff was so rude! I ate an omelette with rye bread. I've had worse, I've had better. Nothing too exciting.

Nice little Mom 'n Pop place. Server was charming and efficient. Food was not fancy but it was good and fresh. We would go back if we were in the area again.

...if you like good, down home food in a friendly, quirky atmosphere then this is your place. Had been here many times for breakfast, but today was the first time for lunch, and the food and service is the same...GREAT. Our server, Elizabeth, was very sweet and professional and took great care of us without being intrusive. The decor of... More
