These are excellent hot dogs. Pleasant, clean little dive. Utz chips and birch beer, that's all you need. My bare bones cheeseburger was good, too. Don't go if you need fries or the emotional equivalent of a white tablecloth. A good value.

Went today at 3pm with my father in law. We went with great anticipation from TV fame. While the atmosphere was pretty rad, Dogs run of the mill. I would recommend all give it a try. We will probably go again.

Who are these people that love this place so much??? I've been hearing about this place for many years, and finally had the opportunity to stop by. It is a hole-in-the-wall, which in itself doesn't have to be terrible, but there were some unsavory looking characters both in front of and behind the counter! I wouldn't care about that either... Aside from the hot dogs, Blackie's is a place that has to be visited just for the fact that it has been opened for decades and is a recognized business in all of New England.

My kids love this place. A hometown classic. Great place for hot dogs & burgers. We stop here a few times a month for a quick dog after a ball game!

We travel from New Jersey to Boston regularly. As such, we have tried a number of restaurants, and we do our best to avoid chain restaurants. Blackie's is just off I84, so it is convenient. We also know that we can get a good, cheap dog and soda at the Costco up the block. But, if a GOOD dog fried,... More

By far the best hot dogs and relish around - old world charm, old world quality. These hot dogs are outstanding. Blackies has been a tradition in CT for decades and once you try one - fully loaded with their relish and mustard you will understand their popularity!

Its all they offer, so if you like a good dog and soda with a side this is your spot!!. is basically an outdoor place with very little indoor seating at the counter and few tables - old school diner style stuff!! Enjoy a local favorite

The best and simple cheeseburgers around! Also, the BEST RELISH for your hot dog! This place carries various ice cream flavors as well as birch beer which is rarely in restaurants. Classic place.
