A must do especially in the summer

The old New England drive up hot dog place has not changed in years & years which is part of the charm. Although the hotdogs are not as good as they used to be I would still give them a 5. You can still get them in a white box to eat in your car. The menu is mostly limited... read more

Blackie's Hotdog Stand is reknowned and has been in business for many, many years. The hot dogs are absolutely delicious and their method of cooking them makes them "snap" in your mouth when you bite. My wife and I visit often. Our youngest granddaughter LOVES Blackie's as well. One problem, though. You will not be able to eat just one... More

Have been coming here for years and you can not still find a better hot dog or hot relish in the area. They have added hamburgers to the menu. They also have very good shakes and ice cream. Love the white birch soda!

Basically an enclosed Hot Dog stand but it's been there forever and it's a Cheshire Institution. The relish is their own. It's good but I wouldn't travel miles just to try it.

Blackie's is great if all your looking for is a few dogs and shake, it'll be hard to find a better place in the area. They don't offer fries, but I can live without them, Don't forget to buy a jar of their relish to take home!

This is like an old time soda fountain where you get great hotdogs and burgers. They specialize in hot dogs with their famous relish. You sort of walk in and say how many you want and they yell it back and within minutes your dogs are up. It's nice when you order 5 to go so you get a little... More

The facility and menu harken back to an earlier, simpler time. Good dogs and cheeseburgers; excellent shakes. A great local place to fill a whole in both your psyche and your gut.

These dogs go down real easy. The relish is a must. Very famous in Waterbury and CT. Still has the old time charm but clean inside.

Came here as I had an appointment not that far and was hungry. Customer service in the place was great. Hotdog was a good classic American dog. Would stop here again.

Antiquity of Blackies is the best reason to visit not so sure if hot dogs taste as good as the memory of visiting on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to culminate a visit to the beach at any rate this is definitely a Cheshire icon!
