Tasty breakfast - they get busy, so get there early!

Very good breakfast spot. The food and service are consistent each time. Food - Looks as good as it tastes. The Village offers your standard breakfast fare with a variety of pancakes and omelets, but they also have some unique specials. Service - It gets very busy in the morning, so arrive... read more

We went to the Village Cafe and Bistro for breakfast this morning and it truly was a delicious discovery for me. My husband had been once before and had a positive experience, so he suggested going there for a breakfast meeting with friends. It's hidden away behind the Canton post office, but it certainly a bustling little place. I ordered... More

I have only had lunch here once. But when you want the best breakfast-- this is where I go, and I will admit to travelling and craving a great breakfast. The place is small and coffee is self serve ( maybe tea is also, but I don't drink either there). Unfortunately it is where people stand if there is a... More

I've been here a few times and it's a toss up everytime. The chef clearly cares for his food but the portions vary in size from ample to not enough. The time to receive the meal also varies but now that I've been here several times it's almost always an hour wait for simple food. The staff is just slow.... More

Ample portions of quality, imaginative food. Isn't that what everybody wants for breakfast and lunch? The Village is consistent, from eggs over easy to gourmet soup. It can take a while to find a table on the weekends, but console yourself with dinner, served on Friday and Saturday nights.

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch (haven't tried dinner! ). Free range organic eggs, amazing sweet potato breakfast side, really great selection of egg dishes and very good prices! Be prepared that it is very popular and there may be a wait!

I'm not quite sure why there are waitresses other than to take your order. The kitchen help brought us our food. You have to get your own coffee, tea, juice. And the station is located right where people are standing waiting to be seated. Our waitress was rude. Waiting to be seated, getting our food and paying the check took... More

Top quality food without the fuss. Open for dinner Friday and Saturday. My friends and I all chose the special: Chilean sea bass with caramelized Brussels sprouts and squash ravioli. I enjoyed every bite. Artfully plated with a pesto flourish and sweet potato chips. Generously portioned fragrant bread pudding with plump raisins topped off dinner. My new favorite place to... We have come over several years at various times to this restaurant and there is consistently a delay in service and wait time. Even after being seated we have waited over 40 minutes to get our order in, and over an hour for food. We are not treated as valued customers here and ceased our patronage. The food is ok... More

I visited a friend in the Hartford area. We went here for a Sunday Brunch on a rainy Sunday morning. There was a bit of a wait, but well worth it! Unique options. The coffee is bottomless, and you get it yourself.
