We have come over several years at various times to this restaurant and there is consistently a delay in service and wait time. Even after being seated we have waited over 40 minutes to get our order in, and over an hour for food. We are not treated as valued customers here and ceased our patronage. The food is ok... More

I visited a friend in the Hartford area. We went here for a Sunday Brunch on a rainy Sunday morning. There was a bit of a wait, but well worth it! Unique options. The coffee is bottomless, and you get it yourself.

Went here for Sunday brunch. It was crowded, but the wait wasn't too long. Their versions of eggs benedicts were very good. We had poached eggs with bacon and avocado and their delicious sauce. Well worth the wait.

Nice vibe. Good, fresh food. A bit pricey. I will be happy to go back for lunch and maybe dinner. It does get a bit crowded, especially on the weekend.

This is a pleasant little café. The food is good and the service fairly fast. Nothing fantastic, but well above average menu. I would like to try it for dinner. From what one patron said, the dinners are very good.

This was a nice gem I found on the way to a job. I had the biscuits and gravy. I am always curious if the gravy is cooked all the way threw and this was great. Very flavorful sausage and the biscuits were hot and soft just the way I like them. Can't wait to go back.

Small but very good food. Have not tried their dinner yet, but would like to. We did have to wait a few minutes for a table, but well worth it.

I have always LOVED The Village. So I was truly disappointed with my lunch visit on MLK day. Service was rude and ridiculously slow. My burger was severely overcooked and the cod sandwich was bland. My usually favorite coleslaw of all-time was under seasoned and soggy. It wasn't busy, but maybe we still caught them on an off day. Otherwise... More

Let me start off by saying that I have only ever had breakfast food here, and that is because even when we came for lunch their breakfast items looked so good I had to order them! It really is the best you will find in the area - the food is delicious, inventive & changes according to what's in season... More

Village Cafe is by far the best breakfast in CT. I have been dozens of times and have never had a bad experience. Be prepared to wait because it's popular but you can grab a coffee at the self serve station while you wait. I highly recommend any of the "eggs benedict" options but any egg dish with their goat...
